Smal
We need to hire top fitness coaches/consultants and sort this f***ing problem this summer. This is beyond ridiculous. Aye i'm seeing a awful amount of hamstring injuries for it to be a coincidence tbh or "unlucky". So what have happend since last season? Were we just very lucky last season? We still had plenty of injuries last season. Parky posted a table in the Debuchy thread where we had the 4th most days lost to injury in the league for 2011-12. Stu
Injuries is nothing new for us, especially muscle strains/pulls. We're a cold weather club trying to get the most out of warm weather players.

Mick
Injuries is nothing new for us, especially muscle strains/pulls. We're a cold weather club trying to get the most out of warm weather players. It's 2013, not 1913. Players can wear specialist clothing under the normal kit so they don't have to get cold. Also, Santon was injured while training in Italy where the temperature is warmer than here.

Anybody able to explain what the article says? Well, he's waxing lyrical about Newcastle. Saying he loves the club, the city and the atmosphere here. Says how much he enjoyed his goal against Wigan. They ask if he would return to Italy. He says he has heard of interest from Milan, but he has a contract here until 2016 and he has an English family now. He says he would think seriously about leaving if Milan came in for him, but he would not leave for anyone else. Please note this is based on my very limited knowledge of Italian

Shays Given Tim Flowers
Can't argue with that. Just hope they don't make an offer. A lot of the time I feel its the exposure with these articles that annoys us as fans. I mean if Santon and I were mates and he said in a private conversation one night that he would go to Milan if they bid for him, it wouldn't surprise me and wouldn't annoy me. Please note this is based on my very limited knowledge of Italian “I’ve heard of the interest from Milan in me and that is really pleasing. I’m really happy in Newcastle. I like the city, the club and the atmosphere. I’m also engaged to Chloe and we’re expecting a baby in May,” the 22-year-old told La Gazzetta dello Sport today. “I live like a king in Newcastle and I have a contract until 2016. But that doesn’t mean that I’ll stay here. The La Gazzetta dello Sport Santon interview (screenshot) “I’m not sure what would happen if another Italian club came in for me, but I’d seriously think about packing my bags for Milan. I owe Inter a lot. I was happy there, but it is not my fault that I was born as a Milanista… If Balotelli and I are still friends? Well, when paths diverge the contact is a bit lost but we were friends of course. In England we talked every now and then and in the national team we immediately found a common understanding. I’m happy for him, I see him more calm. “Balotelli is more mature now. The decision to return was an excellent one for him. The fact that I can go back to playing with Mario (at Milan) would be an extra incentive. Otherwise we’ll challenge each other as opponents,” added the Italian fullback.
