We should just move the club to France, people won't be happy until then.

What's wrong with posting realistic transfer targets from the French league? We clearly favors players from there.

It's a shame people are so willingly accepting that this is the way the club should go. Tell you now SBR wouldn't like it one bit, loved his vision for the club, shame it never became a reality.

Would be nice to have some connection to the club; identity is lost a little bit more each day, one way or another.

You know what you and everyone else who invokes their opinion of what SBR might or might not of liked can do?  You can fuck right off.  Don't ever use those three letters again to lend weight to your fucking turd opinion.

You absolute no nothing prick, this is what he said he wanted to see (local lads on the pitch, bought British, and said he could win the league with Brazilian buys but didn't want to go down that route) for us. If you supported the club for more than two minutes you might pay attention to is history.

Wanker.

I'd like NUFC to sign the best players available to us. As Liverpool have proven, signing the England B team is expensive and leads to mediocity.

If we can get good young English players on the cheap then great, and there's a few I'd like to see us go for but generally there really isn't that many out there that represent quality and value. Prioritising nationality ahead of price and talent is just plain stupid when you don't have much money. Maybe in a decade when we've sorted out our coaching and setup at youth level there'll be more value in the market.

The club's remit appears to be buy value in the market wherever that may be and try to improve our own production line, which is spot on.

As I said in the "other transfers" thread, Andrés Guardado is out of contract this summer and refusing to sign a new one for Depor.

would be  a cracking signing even though our record with Deportivo players is  awful

If Wigan get relegated then I would not mind us going for James McCarthy

Mo Diame too.....

TRANSFER TARGETS SUMMER 2012

Realistic players to sign in the summer...

- max 25 years old

- have potential

- based abroad

- cost max £8M

- can be sold for a higher fee.

Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa

22 years old from France. A central defender playing at Montpellier in Ligue 1. According to media we have scouted him several times. Cost: £5M - £8M.

Benjamin Corgnet

24 years old from France. A central midfielder with an eye for goal playing at Dijon in Ligue 1. His club rejected an offer from us in January and said they wanted to keep him to the summer, according to someone at the club. Chelsea also interested. Cost: £4M - £5M.

Faouzi Ghoulam

21 years old from France. A left back playing for Saint-Etienne in Ligue 1. Was linked with us in January, but also with Queens Park Rangers and Roma. Is having a good season with his club. Cost: £2M - £3M.

Aymen Abdennour

22 years old from Tunisia. A left back, but can also play as a left winger, from Toulouse in Ligue 1. A part of the very good Toulouse defence. Linked with Arsenal and Stoke City in January. Cost: £3M - £4M.

Romain Hamouma

24 years old from France. An attacking midfielder who plays for Caen in Ligue 1. A very tricky and fast player. Cost: £3M.

Frédéric Bulot

21 years old from France. A midfielder, can play as a central midfielder or in an attacking position, who plays for Caen in Ligue 1. Very technical and has 8 caps for France U21. Cost: £2M - £4M.

Nicolas Isimat-Mirin

20 years old from France. A central defender who plays for Valenciennes in Ligue 1. Played 24 games in the league for his club this season. 3 caps for France. Cost: £2M - £5M.

And to answer your question: How many of them have you seen play? All of them.

Interesting list, but I see 2 missing links here:

Verthongen

Douglas

We need quality and not alot of those players, maybe with m'Biwa being the exception, would contribute to that.

Apparently Real Madrid are looking to loan out Nuri Sahin next season. Marca cites "several Premier League clubs" as interested...

Mate who supports Gladbach is pretty sure he's off there next season.

Marca pundit claims that's not what Mourinho prefers. He thinks he needs "toughening up" (same thing was said about Canales last season, interestingly) and Bundesliga is his comfort zone.
