What's wrong with posting realistic transfer targets from the French league? We clearly favors players from there. It's a shame people are so willingly accepting that this is the way the club should go. Tell you now SBR wouldn't like it one bit, loved his vision for the club, shame it never became a reality. Would be nice to have some connection to the club; identity is lost a little bit more each day, one way or another. You know what you and everyone else who invokes their opinion of what SBR might or might not of liked can do? You can fuck right off. You absolute no nothing prick, this is what he said he wanted to see (local lads on the pitch, bought British, and said he could win the league with Brazilian buys but didn't want to go down that route) for us. As Liverpool have proven, signing the England B team is expensive and leads to mediocity. If we can get good young English players on the cheap then great, and there's a few I'd like to see us go for but generally there really isn't that many out there that represent quality and value. Prioritising nationality ahead of price and talent is just plain stupid when you don't have much money. Maybe in a decade when we've sorted out our coaching and setup at youth level there'll be more value in the market.
