Skirge
Krul - 6 Not much to do Simpson - 7 Did well. Much better than last few matches. Saylor - 8 Solid. Good goal line clearance. Colo - 8 Kept their strikers away well. Raylor - 4 Not a LB. s*** free kick. Gave possession away. Obertan - 5 Lazy. Didn't use his pace, didn't track back. Cabaye - 5.5 Did well first half, anonymous second half. Tiote - 4.5 Diabolical first 80 mins, played excellently last 10 mins. Jonas - 6 Ran well with the ball, zero end product. Ameobi - 4 s****. No threat, no urgency, no hope. Best - 5 Didn't get the ball. Horrendous offside in 45th minute. Ba - 5.5 Didn't make much of an impact. Marveux - 5 Didn't make an impact. Sammeobi - 7 Made an impact. Needs to start next match. Pardew - 2 Why U no play Santon? Why U start Shola? Why U no make changes at HT? Get a f***ing grip man! Jonas 6? He was beyond horrendous. The Prophet
Krul 5 - Had nothing to do but really though his kicking was absolutely awful. I don't know if he;s being told to do it but his aimless punts down the field had a lot to do with how poor we were. Simpson 6 - Alright overall, caught out of position a couple of times. Taylor 8 - Our best player by a mile. Colo 6 - Alright overall but struggled with Bothroyd at times. Taylor 3 - Wank, really really bad, why was he starting? Obertan 4 - Alright first half, disappeared second. Tiote 5 - He's an absolute liability on the ball at the moment. Cabaye 5 - Alright but overran for large periods. Jonas 6 - Worked hard with little product. Shola 3 - Fed of scraps, but really fucking shocking. Best 6 - Did well feeding of scraps. Ba 6- some decent flixks and hold up play. Pardew 4 Crap game plan, Shola and Taylor should never of started and he was far too late to act sub wise.
Sifu
Actually a decent point considering how we played. Another clean sheet, unbeaten still and can surely only play better than this. Feel pretty sorry for QPR like, they did everything but score, were by far the better team (certainly p*ssed on the many assumptions that we'd not only win tonight, but also that we'd comfortably finish above such a s*** side) and should be feeling pretty excited about this season. They're a good side, full of passing, pace and movement. The antithesis of us right now. Sums it up.
Rich
That was garbage like, delighted with a point. The timewasting was a bit cringeworthy at times. Felt like QPR had ran out of steam and ideas at the end and weren't posing much threat, would have preferred to see a bit more endeavour to try and win the game. Interpolic
Very concerned for us as an attacking force and the luck at the back won't continue. Delighted we've picked up 8 points, they'll come in handy if things start to unravel. On performances alone would be well happy with another comfortable bottom half finish. But besides that we've sold a lot of my favourite players and aren't much fun to watch anymore. Ah well. Seems like all of our eggs in one Ben Arfa-shaped basket for this season not to be a bit of a struggle imo.
eliassenfredrik
Playing 4-4-2 with two static forwards and 2 wingers not fabled for whipping in crosses is just f***ing asking for trouble. Taarabt was picking up space between the midfield and defence every time, their formation just p*ssed all over ours. Santon needs to replace Ryan Taylor immediately. Marveaux should play. Shola should be put down. Fully agree. Marveaux actually looked like he wanted to do something with the ball. And we haven't got the strikeforce to play 2 strikers. It's static-tastic. cubaricho
I learnt 3 lessons today that I hope Pardew did too: - Start Ba over Ameobi - Start Santon over Ryan Taylor - Start Marveaux over Obertan They both need to start, to be fair. Guest BooBoo
Decent point, these are games that we always usually lose. Having said that, that's really where the plus points end. That was very difficult to watch and we barely played any sort of football. Krul 6- not too many saves to make despite QPR pressure. Simpson- 6- Out of position a lot but in the first half probably our best performer. Raylor- 4- Poor, offered nothing going forward either. Colo-7-Solid as usual. Saylor- 7- Stupid booking aside, another good shift. Tiote -4- Miles off the pace. Cabaye-4- Game completely passed him by. Obertan- 5- Some early promise but faded badly. Jonas-6 Usual Jonas, lots of effort and running but created nowt. Shola- 4- Infuriating. Best- 6- Looked decent first half but very little to work with Ba-5- No impact at all. Marveaux- 5 Not enough time. Sammy- 6- Again, should have been on sooner. Pardew- 5- Timidly played for a point, but in the circs a semi decent result. They were always going to be pumped up for it and it was a solid defensive show. Disappointed though that he persisted with Shola and Obertan for so long. Chris_R
Well, that was utterly shit. 4th place papers over what are massive cracks in our performances. We can't continue to be this lucky for much longer, if we don't improve, we're going to get found out very quickly.

QBG
The criticism of Obertan is unfounded and quite frankly nonsense. Any decent attacking openings we had he was involved in.

Tiote hasn't been great this season but anyone who seriously thinks we should drop him should take a quick look at the player most likely to replace him in the starting lineup. ChrisMcQuillan
Replace Ameobi with Ben Arfa when not injured, keep Best, and have a combination of Jonas/Marveaux/Obertan backed up by Cabaye & Tiote behind. That'll be fine. Unfortunately, Ameobi keeps getting picked.
Ashley17
Was anybody else amused by Sky's 5 minute bumming of Danny Simpson and his "amazing" pace?

Only way that's going to happen is if we play a 4-5-1, which personally I can't see happening. Also at those people claiming 'luck at the back'. If it's happened for 4 games, it's probably not luck

David28
Worried about the way we played tbh. No real game plan, no chances up fron and they had chances to win 3 games.
Guest VaVaVoom
Obvious from Krul's timewasting that a point was the aim. Going to a promoted side and playing for a point, Allardyce would be proud. Fuck off Pardew. Get a fuckin grip man. QPR played well, took us for surprise and if they play like that they will beat some good teams this season. Mong. However...We were poor tonight, lucky to come away with a point but the point is testament to our never say die attitude. Im disappointed we didnt get to see Santon and more from Maveaux like. Ba was strong and looked decent. Has to be Best and Ba against Villa. Shola was hopeless. Krul...7 Didnt have much to do, another clean sheet and although i dont like it, his time wasting helped. Raylor...5 Awful positionally, didnt look switched on, clearly unhappy tonight. Santon has to start LB in the next game. Coloccini...7 His anticipation is so valuable. Saylor...7 Solid. Saved us a goal. Simpson...7 Improving. Saved us a goal. Gutierrez...6 Carried ball well but couldnt get going. I'd have him on the right in the near future. Tiote...5 Fuckin awful. Whats happened to him? Cabaye...6 Tidy but didnt influence the game anywhere near enough. Obertan...7 Busy, quick and wanted to get in on the action. Best...7 Won a good few in the air, unlucky not to score. Shola...5 Fuckin awful. Shit touch lazy bastard. Marveaux....Not enough time but few nice touch's. Ba...7 Strong in the air and quick, Sameobi...Not enough time but looks dangerous. It is a slight worry that there is a distinct lack of movement and quality passing in the final 3rd. Anyway...4th after 4 games. Unbeaten. 8 out of 12 and only one goal conceded. Nice platform to build upon. Happy days.
nufc4eva
We will get destroyed on Saturday if he plays raylor at left back again, he was fucking dreadful, why buy a left back then play him there, ffs, Also special mention to Shola - your fucking terrible

Guest Pedro_de_geordieo
I think pardew felt he owed Raylor a game for having scored a couple of goals for us but next week he'll be back on the bench, dangerous thing to do though as it could have cost us the game there. He needs to start Marveaux
