Guest Roger Kint
How the hell can a season ticket cost more than buying the individual 19 tickets? Ask HF, he seems obsessed with prices on twitter
Varadi
How the hell can a season ticket cost more than buying the individual 19 tickets? I think it's mainly down to all the cheap deals they keep offering - you know for a fact they'll sell half season tickets at a reduced rate come Christmas so even if you just buy individual tickets until then you'll probably end up ahead. It's nothing to do with cheap deals. The standard cost of a season ticket in the Gallowgate for 14/15 is £578. A member buying 19 single tickets (at Man City Prices) would pay a total of £567 (inc £35 membership). Cheaper to not get a season ticket this year. timeEd32
He's even cheaper than I thought. Comical. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-owner-mike-ashley-7597811

BottledDog
Don't see a problem with that in all honesty. Might actually put an end to some of the staff flogging their spares on for profit.
Ronaldo
As if that lot should get preferential treatment over paying fans anyway.
Ash
With a bit of luck he'll start charging them to sit on the bench too, might make them fuck off.
Wullie
None of us are going to be in the least bit arsed about it, not least because they're bloody hopeless, but it's still poor employee relations to take such a standard practice away from them. It's easy to say "tough shit, I don't get X, Y and Z at work" but most real big companies and sporting institutions will offer their employees some fairly decent perks. He doesn't care though, the bloke's just utterly obsessed with money. http://media.her.ie/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/money.jpg "How much is enough?" For Mike Ashley, the answer is that he can never have enough.

Stifler
People seem to think that they have to pay to go to games, the back room staff are still getting their tickets for free, it's just that they are not allowing their friends and family to get it free anymore. Nothing wrong with that.
Wullie
You're right, it does.

Dave
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BvHB6CSCMAEpsvk.jpg:large Ashley has funded the acquisition of nine new players This shit really fucking winds me up. Ashley doesn't put his own money into the club for transfers; he doesn't need to and nobody expects him to. Why write it like this?
