We've got nee chance.  There's probably about five PL clubs that could be had way cheaper than us not to mention the sleeping giants downstairs.  FMA will want about 500m, you could probably buy 3 of the others for that.

RANGERS have released a statement announcing that the £5million loan from Sports Direct magnate Mike Ashley has now been repaid.

A single sentence published on their official website on Christmas Eve said that the money is now in the bank: "We are pleased to announce that payment has today been sent to Sportsdirect.com Retail Limited of the full amount of the loan facilities provided by that company to The Rangers Football Club Limited."

Speaking at the club's AGM last month, Rangers chairman Dave King revealed that the outstanding loan would be repaid in January and that "it took me one hour this morning to raise the £5m from major shareholders."

However, the waters were muddied in the recent court case in London where a QC representing the club claimed that the money had already been repaid.

This was followed by angry denials from Sports Direct, with Rangers director Paul Murray later claiming: "that was just a simple mistake which was made by our QC. He didn't have the facts to his fingertips."

"The facts are quite simple, we have £5m on deposit with a solicitors at the moment. The loan will be repaid as soon as the legal documentation is in place."

The payment will now activate a seven-year notice period for existing retail deals between Rangers and Sports Direct, as revealed by Record Sport.

Also Elland Road is in no way decent, it's a bombsite.

It's a decent size, which is what Gorilla meant.

It really is the pits between the seating and the turnstiles, mind. I brought some Leeds mates to SJP about a decade ago and they wandered round in amazement.

It's a proper stadium IMO, but it's run down and because I'm in the area quite a lot it's kind of sad seeing it the way it is. I quite like Leeds, a proper club. I would far rather see them in the PL than some other club's tbh.

No way, fuck them.  Rather see them drop down to the regional leagues and go bust.  Shitty club with shitty cunt fans.

Sadly SJP is quickly following suit.

No. No. It may be tacky as hell with the SD guff but it'll never be a shithole. Especially not of ER's proportion.

It's getting there like, it looks so out of place at the moment it's sad.

As for LUFC, I work there a lot, same with Middlesbrough, so I kind of get on with the locals and find that they are just like us in many ways, real football fans.
