His model at Newcastle would have rangers walking to the title every year. It doesn't work here because he wont sack Pardew and the Premier league is too strong without massive investment. If they can ignore the club being used as a cheap advertising platform for a shitty brand they'll be over the moon. Pardew would probably even win the spl with them if they had Carr bringing in players for them as the standard is so low. You can get all those good cheap foreign players because the EPL is one of the best shopping windows in the world, and a great place to go to push on you career. Scotland? Not quite so. No but you don't need as high a quality as it's the SPL. It's about as competetive as league 1. Most Championship sides would walk it. Loadsaloans to be made to Rangers next transfer window then...
