teohgk
Don't really think Marveaux looks that good on the left. Especially with Simpson never overlapping him. aye, i think mostly because he played on the right
Oakie Doke
definitely not Jonas' best half, he looks jaded and is struggling to make a mark on the game.
Wil
Huge test coming up here. Gosling has just got to get into this game.
Ikon
Felt very confident before Cabaye's injury.

Guest elbee909
We may well draw now, at best. Our centre has been ripped out.
Guest exilim
Anyone know how long a player will be out for pulling a groin?
Guest palnese
Really fear Drenthe here. Feel he's got a goal in him today. Think we need a third, maybe even four.
Segun Oluwaniyi
Don't really think Marveaux looks that good on the left. Especially with Simpson never overlapping him. At least one occasion where Sylvain was running to the line and needed to cross with his right, but decided to shift it on his left and play it backwards, ending the threat. garth
Still think we can win this if we keep our nerve.
Flip
I believe in us winning this. Think brining Ben Arfa in would give us a new dimension by putting the ball on the ground and passing it around.
Guest BlacknWhiteArmy
I'd swap the widemen over. Marveaux will do very well on the left.

Think we need something to occupy their midfield like, otherwise we are going to get overrun.
johnnypd
Marveaux's quite tentative, always taking a touch on the ball, trying to do something neat and clever. obertan's almost the opposite in that he runs and runs and is big and powerful and fast but not particularly intelligent. we've probably missed his athleticism down the right and ability to pin defenders back, whereas Marv likes to cut inside and deliver a floater, which is good for simpson overlapping but not for anyone else. The Prophet
Jonas looks slow. Marveaux has been alright in patches. Ba has been crap. We need a kick up the arse because we've been prett woeful, Everton have created far too many chances for my liking.
Stottie
They looked off the pace till Drenthe went right and that may be a factor with Jonas's subdued showing. Marv's been tidy but nothing else. With both first choice CMs out, this second half should be that "test" everyone has talked about. I reckon had Everton hit that corner last week, they'd have scored against Manyoo. Textbook execution. Credit where credit's due.
gazza ladra
Certainly not going to get anything if we sit back and surrender possession to Everton. I'd take a chance on Ben Arfa. ASAP.
James
They have been coming right through the centre of our midfield all match. Guthrie has been good on the ball, but Cabaye was very poor (understandable given the injury), Marveaux doesn't show himself as much as Obertan, and Jonas has been off the pace. Basically we are winning because of a bit of luck and a split second moment of inspiration. Cabaye poor? It must be me, but felt we won every ball in midfield. Thought they got the better when cutting inside from the flanks rather then through the middle. He was struggling for 20 minutes before he came off and it caused us problems. Not his fault, but having him on the pitch has caused us problems.

Guest NewFan
Everton played well , we are lucky to be one goal ahead. WHAT?! First goal is OG , the second was superb but we didnt create any clear cut goal chances.
