Soft spot?

Hardly soft spots but there are a few teams which I don't despise...

Bournemouth (uni)

Athletic (cantera policy, first real European team I saw)

Atletico (been to see - always pretty entertaining one way or another)

Milan (gloryseeker from back in the Gazzetta days, van Basten FFS!)

Boca Juniors. Flamengo. Went to watch them both play when I was in South America.

Boca v River was ace.

Godoy Cruz are probably my Argentine team although of the big teams I'd lean toward Boca, San Lorenzo or Racing I reckon.

Burton Albion and Morecambe in league 2 since best mates are fans of them (though at the game i went to burton fans were sooooooo miserable)

Everton kinda for same reason. Swansea at the moment seem to be playing some lovely footy generally fairly neutral.

Levante in la Liga was wonderful, but while I follow european footy just never see enough, too much second hand to judge

When I lived in Budapest I tried going to Újpest, Ferencváros, MTK, and eventually ended up quite liking Vásás, mainly because of the bar you could sit in behind one of the goals, always strangely empty except for a few club officials, and partly because I liked a sparky midfielder called Zoltán Vaci.

Had a few laughs at Viktoria Zizkhov in Prague.

In Lisbon, I went to both Sporting and Benfica games, and decided I preferred Sporting, mainly because every other foreigner seemed to go for Benfica. Belenenses was also quite cool, with its beautiful three-sided stadium opening on to a view of the Tejo.

In Berlin, been to plenty of Hertha matches, but never learned to like them much. Like most people, I quite like Sankt Pauli but I hardly ever get to Hamburg.

Ever since I watched the "Lisbon Lions" win the European Cup as a child, Celtic were nominally my team in Scotland, but it's been a long time since I paid them much attention.

Internationally, I always want Morocco to do well.

Hang on, i've heard of blokes 'being' mascots and i've heard of blokes being 'in mascots costumes' but never a bloke being 'in' a mascot.  It sounds like bizarre porn.

In England...

Leyton Orient - my second team, used to go there with my Dad if we couldn't go to Spurs away.

Barnet - similar reasons

Watford - ditto (my Dad actually has a season ticket there because he goes with a couple of drinking mates, yet he's Spurs)

There's loads of teams that I have slight soft spots for - for example, I'd be quite happy if AFC Wimbledon go up.

Scotland...

Falkirk and East Stirling - used to live in Falkirk.

Raith Rovers - my dad likes them because they used to be his Subbuteo team (note to younger viewers: this is a bit like liking them because of FM).

France...

Do not give a monkeys. If forced, would probably say St Etienne due to lingering 70s trendiness.

Italy...

Milan - not really sure why, but I liked them before the 4-0 Barca final and remember at the time thinking that was the best performance I had ever seen.

Spain

Real Valladolid - I'm really not that fussed, but I know the place and the kit is also cool.

USA

Columbus Crew - the local team, well, local in American terms (less than 300 miles away).
