Can't stand the German players, so lets cheer on Terry, Cole, Gerrard and Rooney ;D

Aye, that's what I thought too

Although, I suppose if you're not a Bayern Munich supporter, it's a bit like England with all the Liverpool players. Except that the Bayern ones are class.

We'll see. There were enough hints to suggest it'll happen. There was lots of critisism after the game for Gomez - despite the goal - anyways.

As I've already placed my bets on Holland, I'd be happy if Gomez started, though.

:yikes:

Aren't you German?

Not supporting them, though. Wouldn't be sad or disappointed if they won the Euro, but more supporting England. Just can't stand the majority of the team. Would like to see Jogi winning the competition, though.

Saying that all, today's your country's day. Your guys just have to take the chances. Would be ironic but not unusual to see Robben score today.

Would be hilarious if he scored a pen today. Although if we somehow get a pen I hope he's nowhere near the ball when it's taken..

RVP will take, it has been said iirc.

your country has a team full of talent and the ability to play quality football and you've chosen to support a country that still loves to mock your own for winning two world wars donkeys ago and has James sodding Milner in its first XI?

I salute you sir.

Well, in the end, for whatever reasons, I've started supporting a club more than 10 years back now, that hasn't won a trophy since, doesn't get into the Champions League on a regular basis, despite I could have easily become a poor trophy-hunting Bayern Munich supporter (due to where I live). No regrets.

People need their heroes and role models.

That's quite breaking news, too btw: (from bbc)

Away from the pitch, here's some news in from Uefa: Russia have been given a six-point deduction, which will be suspended, from their next Euro qualifying campaign following the improper behaviour of their fans at Friday's Czech Republic match.

They have also been fined 120,000 Euros.

Wonder who the first person will be to misunderstand that and think Russia are effectively out of the tournament now.

I think most are. Just interesting to see who's the first one not turning quickly enough and will post it.

Typcial German TV. Started at 16:00 local time and all they've done for the 1 1/2 hours is to talk about the German team. Yes, we know now that the players have been sleeping till 3 minutes ago, yes we know now that they'll have something to eat now and yes, we (have) know(n for the whole day) that they're playing Holland later today.

10 minutes or so time now to talk about Denmark - Portugal. Reminds me once again of the day of the CL final, where it was 98% Bayern talk all day, till the Drog came and scored the penalty. Deja-Vu. Decent.
