The problem today for HBA was that the team was flat and static. So he was left facing one/two defenders face on with no movement around him. Made it very easy for Sunderland to defend against him.....HBA has always had his better games when the defense was off balance due to the movement around him.

Newcastle were flat, static and without desire today. None of the players looked like they had played together before.

He is like one of those keepy up specialists Red Bull or Mcdonalds would hire for an advert.  Thereis a reason he plays for us andno one has ever bid for him.

Jesus christ the defense of him on here, yes he is such a technically gifted player but he is a shocking footballer. Does not take match fitness to cross a fucking ball first time, it does not require 15 bastard step overs, no need to beat your man 10 times first.

Tis s not his stage to show off, he is part of a team and he needs to fucking play like it.

The odd wonder goal now and then does not mean he is a great player.

How many times did he lose the ball today and just watch as a mackem cunt just trotted away from him with it, for their third he just dropped to the fkn ground man.

If we can sell him and replace him with Cabella we should do it, ues I know all about of cunt of an owner and the real lack of possibility that could happen but still.

So yeah come on jump all over this defend Benny the great, not saying he was the only one, I'm just getting started here.

In response to a post saying HBA was fit for today:

Get the fuck in

Fickle as fuck.

HBA clearly gave up towards the end of the first-half and who can blame him, no matter how he plays or what he does, he has never truly been given a starring role at this club under Pardew. He has been mismanaged by a piss poor manager. He was asked to play four positions today, under long-ball tactics. If that was me, I'd have walked off.

Idiots expect HBA to be world class and win us matches single handedly, and when he doesn't he's instantly s****.

He is by far our best player who has been managed disgustingly and used as a scapegoat by our cowardly c*** of a manager.

How people can't see this is beyond me.  I'm suprised he's still willing to put the shirt on.

Fucksake, talk about blowing people's arguments out of proportion, no one expects him to win sindlehandedly. It's obvious he's been poorly managed, but it's also obvious that he's unfit, and makes poor decisions on the ball. Sissoko, Anita, were also s*** today granted, but as Ben Arfa is our best player, and everyone knows it, so perhaps more is expected from him. His performance today was very poor, accept it and move on.

Unfit while we have Santon, and the Ameobi brother running less than him. Jesus.

Get a grip man, all you're doing now is twisting my point by highlighting that he ran a bit more than 3 players who were absolute dog shit today as well. Hatem was shit today, in a shit team, where has wasn't the worst but was still outstandingly shit. The shit team was managed by an equally shit manager, who set the team up badly, but who does not control every decision a player makes on the pitch. Get it?

Do you think he looks fit by the way?

He looks too big and unfit. He needs to drop half a stone.

A player like Ben Arfa is useless in fits and starts. He needs to be given a role in the side and allowed to play week in week out. RW is his best position.

I'd agree. He looks nothing like the quicksilver player we bought under Hughton. He has been spectacularly mismanaged and he needs to move to get back on track.

The whole Ben Arfa thing probably pisses me off more than losing 3-0 at home to the mackems. Stevie fucking wonder would see what he can bring to the side, but Pardew doesn't have a clue how to use a player like Ben Arfa which is scary because you only have to play him RW and week in week out. That's it. His talent is so special and he does work hard for the side, he will deliver the goods more often than not, if played every game in his best position.

I agree with some points but I'll let it go. Trying to get a point across on this forum is usually hard with stubborn people. I'll just ask the same question as Parky did, who should he be passing to when movement is absolute zero. It's him and Sissoko on the ball, both finding each other, but no one other to show as an option. It's terrible management from the off today. We lost because of Pardew.

Half a stone?! The neutrals in the pub I watched the match  today said he looked unfit and there was even a reference to Mido. None of them Mackems btw just outsiders lookin in.

The Hatem saga and watching the piecemeal dismantling of the confidence and self-worth of the lad is one of the saddest things I've witnessed in some time. He really is a shadow of his former glorious self. If I was his agent I'd tell him to get out ASAP.

I know the new 'thing' in football is to adopt a pressing game high up the pitch, but just imagine how devastating he could be in those circumstances. Too often today there was absolutely no-one near their back four as we kept our 'shape'. A fit Ben Arfa should be playing wide right, and used as an attacking outlet, not to dictate the game. His position, along with the direct football style today was totally unsuited to him, (and to a lot of other players in the team might I add), and he had a shit game. I do feel that he is partly responsible for his performances however - he is predictable in the sense that you know he is going to run the ball rather than pass and move.

We didn't lose because of Pardew, we lost because they played better, both technically and tactically and they wanted it more than our players did. Pardew is a rank average manager but nobody should be excusing the players for that half assed effort.

Same manager, different players, same result but don't blame him, you're having a laugh.

I'm sorry but 3 hoofs up the pitch from Williamson in the general direction of Shola within the first 20min had doom written all over it...Can only be under instruction.

Imagine if this lad had of played for us under Robson man.

:smitten:

Second time I've read this on here. I don't think he'd get near Robson's side. Robert was a far better player and Solano was better suited to getting the best out of Shearer and Bellamy.
