TherealnorthernTOON
This certainly is a sign of incompetency by the medical team. How can they give the go ahead for a player of such importance twice in a season to give him a setback?
Dave
@ChrisFordTV Pardew "Hatem hasn't wanted to sprint which is a worry, but he should play some part on Thursday, he hasn't re-strained it or anything"
Tiresias
To be fair if it'd just been 2 league games it'd probably just been "not quite ready this week, will be there next week", it's only because of the fixture pileup this is worrying.
Ketsbaia
Every day there's a quote contradicting the previous day, which is irritating.
SiLvOR
@ChrisFordTV Pardew "Hatem hasn't wanted to sprint which is a worry, but he should play some part on Thursday, he hasn't re-strained it or anything" I sort of know what he means, I had quite a big psychological thing after I snapped all my shit up. Took me a couple of weeks to get comfortable going full pelt again. Not saying it's the same scenario, but I can certainly understand it.
The Narcissist
Seen a few Liverpool fans saying we'll be swapping him for Carroll no chance hopefully i'd be gutted. Likely typical RAWK crazyness
Cajun
Just some shit transfer rumour from months back.
Smal
Swapping Ben Arfa for Carroll would be like paying to give away our best player. Madness.
Dave
I've told you before, it's a smokescreen for the Suarez/Simpson swap deal.
ExiledGeordie
Ashley must know he has a prize asset in HBA so why he'd sell to Liverpool is beyond me. I suppose every player has their price but it would take a massive bid to get him and after recent financial reports about Liverpool are they going to have money to throw around. It's not even a priority position for them. Anyway any updated news on HBA yet regarding thursday or the weekend?

In fact Dave's Simpson/Suarez theory is probably as likely.
Tiresias
any word on if he's fit for Anzhi?
BeloEmre
any word on if he's fit for Anzhi? From todays Chronicle: Ben Arfa will be back for the second leg against Anzhi after missing Sunday’s 2-1 win over Stoke City with a knock.
GeordieT
Chris Ford @ChrisFordTV So Hatem Ben Arfa didn't train this morning. Will this make any difference, can NUFC make it through without him? Are his injuries a worry?
Wilson
His injuries do seem a worry imo.

Ketsbaia
He might get 45mins in the derby, at this rate.
GeordieT
Who is Chris Ford, like? Some journalist reporting on us and Sunderland. Not really sure who he works for. But he goes to all the conferences and stuff, so he is definitely reliable.

Wilson
I doubt even Ryder would make something up like 'he didn't train today' though.

But there is an image on his feed from this morning of the players training, guess he has been watching ahead of the presser this afternoon.
mattypnufc
Chris works for Premier League Productions, doing that Premier League World program (normally on Sky Sports every week) for covering the teams in the North East. Mole_Toonfan
I doubt even Ryder would make something up like 'he didn't train today' though. Depends solely on how much the window needs cleaning tbh.
Wilson
Becoming a farce tbh, wonder if we again have brought him back too quick v Anzhi? A start in them conditions on their dodgy pitch may have been too much.
