Guest icemanblue
He pretty much beat Liverpool single-handedly last season. I'd settle for that again. He'll lack the match sharpness to do that this time. Surely he won't play 90 mins, i reckon he'll come on with 20 or 30 mins to go. Fuck you. Hater. AyeDubbleYoo
I'm worried that there's so much expectation building up on him, he may try and do too much by himself because of it. He's best when he dribbles in only spells. Yes he's great at creating space for others, but it's only useful if he releases the ball. If he dribbles every time it gets predictable and his threat is lessened. He's a great player, but he's not always been consistent and given his injury troubles we can't expect him to win games by himself. Problem is, he needs time in a situation where there just isn't that much to give. IMO he only starts to dribble every time when he realises that nobody else is going to produce anything. Kanj
Just had this flashback of him barnstorming around the pitch in the beginning of the season and then thinking also to him last season. My lord have we been deprived of his brilliance.
AyeDubbleYoo
It's tragic that he gets injured so often. He should be playing every minute.

binnsy
sitting here on Thursday and everyone probably knows and accepts that he can't/won't play or last for 90 mins but imagine the fury and bad reaction should he come off after 65-70 mins and its 1-1 or god forbid we are 1-0 down...... Guest bimpy474
If he's 100% fit he has to start. He's our best player and any manager who doesn't start him would be a fucking fruit loop if they looked at our attacking options.

Guest hatem garrincha
The French flier has been eased back into action since returning from a hamstring injury against Benfica earlier this month. Toon boss Alan Pardew hinted Ben Arfa could make his first Premier League start since December against Liverpool tomorrow. Newcastle are desperate for a win to move them clear of relegation danger. And Ben Arfa, 26, said: “My hamstring is completely fine now and I feel happy that the injury has gone and I can return to full fitness. I am 100 per cent fit. “I’m happy that I have come back into the team slowly and gradually. “The manager and the doctor have put in place a programme to ensure I return gradually rather than rush back and get further problems in the future. “I am happy with the work of the backroom staff and the manager because this was my first muscular injury and it was important that the healing ran its course.” Newcastle go into the St James' Park clash with the Reds just six points clear of the bottom three. And Ben Arfa says it is essential Toon retain their place in what he believes is the world’s top league. He added: “You have teams like Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham who are always fighting at the top every season. “When you play those teams they are massive matches and always have a special feeling around them, so that is a big appeal to come and play in England. “This is the best league in the world, without a doubt.” Read more: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/4904709/Hatem-Ben-Arfa-Im-fit-and-ready-for-Newcastle-survival-bid.html#ixzz2Ra6VtXOA http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/4904709/Hatem-Ben-Arfa-Im-fit-and-ready-for-Newcastle-survival-bid.html
