BONTEMPI
That reminds me, has anyone ripped the Aniston stripping scene from that new film yet? I ripped the ears off mine.

sempuki
We could use Sammy on loan as part of the deal. However, if given the choice he would choose Everton - not that we will get involved.
Chris_R
I'd choose Everton and I fucking support us. Next.
Guest bimpy474
Ayew this is about. Mark Douglas @MsiDouglas 12m @davidpick1987 Agent-driven too, I'm told. Think they will sign someone though.
sempuki
At least it is all over a week from now. Wasted far too much time checking this thread!
TRon
The daft thing is, if we were to sign a left winger or forward, it would actually have been a decent window. Not fantastic but it would give us so many more options. Just one fucking signing.
joeyt
Is 'GetFootballNews' any better than tribalfootball or goal.com?
Dave
Nope.
Mole_Toonfan
Is 'GetFootballNews' any better than tribalfootball or goal.com? True but at least they are sourcing the Sky Sports bloke. McCarthy would be a good signing, not as offensive as i'd like for a Cabaye replacement but still a good signing.
Guest bimpy474
Everthing involving us is a made up rumour, it has to be as we aren't trying to buy any fucker anyway.
Mole_Toonfan
Everthing involving us is a made up rumour, it has to be as we aren't trying to buy any f***er anyway. Sadly you are probably right, i do think our entire summer business is based around selling someone.

Sadly you are probably right, i do think our entire summer business is based around selling someone. We are lacking on the LW and CF, and if our intention is to sign no one, why in the blue fuck did we let Fergie and Campbell go on loan. Nice to see the Mackems trying to sign even more players..... They want £15m and we are going to open with £8m. Hello Dave, £8m. Dave : no. Ok bye. We tried. Cronky
I'd see McCarthy as a midfield anchorman, and we've already got Tiote, Bigi and Anita for that role. I think McCarthy is better than any of those three, but my fear is that we may be buying him in the hope of playing him further forward.
Ashley17
I didn't have him pegged as a holding midfielder, thought he was more a box to box type? Does anybody know what he actually does?

Old Joe knows all about McCarthur and all about tactics. He'll slot right in to Pardew's 3-5-2 system. Joe's got it scouted.
Mole_Toonfan
I didn't have him pegged as a holding midfielder, thought he was more a box to box type? Does anybody know what he actually does? Think Arteta, sits in front of the back 4 and keeps things ticking over. I think he has the ability to play further forward but i have never seen him play there to comment. Reckon Anita-McCarthy-Sissoko might be a bit too defensive if i'm honest, would rely heavily on Hatem and Remy creating shit out of nothing in the final third. So no change there
tsah
So then let's weigh up the pros and cons for this happening... Cons McCarthy / Martinez link & history Wigan owner hates all things Ashley... They want £15m Pros Joe.... Ah fuck it.

He'd be the "creative" one in Ireland's central midfield. Come to think of it we're probably less creative than the Ireland team at the moment, so he'd be a step up.
