No reports of any official bids for him so I don't believe it was to force a move. We still need more strikers, better get signing them. Why not? he's made his point, and he's also been made aware that as an employee he has certain obligations to the club that pays his wages too. So whilst he's been forced to back down over this because he was starting to look stupid, let's not kid ourselves that the underlying issues have suddenly vanished, because they won't have. Agreed, let's pretend that the PFA working to try and sort things out have had nothing to do with a change of mind, let's put it down to the photo's. The photos won't have done much other than cause him some personal embarrassment. There was already a lot of work going on behind the scenes to come to a solution so I agree. Cisse had already released information through friends that he didn't want to leave and it was in the chronicle before any photos were circulated.
