According to that Benfica forum they're already in the semis and we're all suffering from heartburn.

Tbf, a lot of people on here probably think that as well

The most reasonable (like me :D) knows that will be difficult. But ofc we are confident, normally in stadium of light we do amazing games and if we get a clean sheet in the first leg we have all the advantage because normally we score at any stadium (Just check our past games).

About the flights:

Faro (Cheapest option) then by train\bus to Lisbon

Lisbon (the airport is at Lisbon center so in 5 minutes you have a lot of cheap accommodation)

What area of Lisbon is best to stay? It comes up with 6 options like Setubal and stuff

Setubal ?! Man that's Mourinhos city of birth, f*** that! lol

No serious, Setubal is very far. Just look here:

http://www.booking.com/

The best place should be at Lisbon center.

The site i use had options of Cascais, Ericeira, Estoril, Estoril Cascais, Oeiras, Setubal & Sesimbra. Which is the city centre?

3 days of Superbok is very appealing.

None of them. ha

haha guess buying flights & hotel in one go from there isnt happening then

None of those places is too far away. 20km max.

I am never going to find my way back to a hotel thats more that 200m away

Ahahah

With the beer costing 1€ I understand your problem mate  O0

On the other side Cascais and Estoril are the places where all the tourists love to go, nice beaches, Casino, lot's of people at night with good pubs and crazy bitchs! By train\metro you make Cascais-Lisboa in 35 minutes..

Sounds good. Went to Algarve many years ago, €1 a litre glass of beer. Great stuff

we have a lot of very good hostels in lisbon. right at the center... that would be the best choice.

if i were you, i would check on net in hostel browsers... trust me, a lot of quality offers. and at fairly good prices...  Estoril, Cascais, an so on, are along the beach, but 20 kms away from the center.  you´d still have good transportations, so not an issue. but i stil recomend city center.. much better if you want to have some fun.

if you´re looking for some fun and meet people... best choice in an hostel, for sure.

if you want something calmer and higger quality, maybe to bring your family or so, there are a lot of hotels (every quality range) in the center...

Benfica fans seem to be a bit batshit crazy.

;D

Hi guys,

one more Benfica supporter here. Feel free to ask me anything about us and Portugal.  O0

Btw, if you want to see the first leg live, you should get a flight to Porto, take a dump in their stadium (or just pee in the wall), take a train, stop in Aveiro (portuguese Venice) buy me a few beers and then to Lisbon.

Guys two questions:

If you had to choose just one, you guys prefer to beat Benfica or Sunderland ?! (A way to see how is the feeling towards them)

Do you think Pardew will make all in in Europa League ?!

30/03/2013 PL J31 Man. City 15:00 Newcastle P. League 2012/13 h2h

04/04/2013 EL QF Benfica 20:05 Newcastle Europa League 2012/2013 h2h

06/04/2013 PL J32 Newcastle 06/04 Fulham P. League 2012/13 h2h

11/04/2013 EL QF Newcastle 20:05 Benfica Europa League 2012/2013 h2h

13/04/2013 PL J33 Newcastle 13/04 Sunderland

Is there any chance he play with a 2nd team against us ?! A hell of a calendar lol

Btw Jesus (Benfica coach) always leave 3\4 key players in the bench in Europa League, his priority is the national league .

There's no way we won't play our strongest side against you. The Sunderland game will be moved to the Sunday.

My mate and his son have already booked to fly from London to Porto and get the train to Lisbon. They did the same when we played Sporting lisbon in 2005.

Sunderland. If the choice was winning the Europa League or beating them I'd be more of a question

We'll probably have to rest some players, but it'll still be a strong side out against you. I like hearing about key players on the bench

That's what I thought.

I'm 100% sure that we will play against you without 3\4 key players. Our league is reaching that critical moment, and our priority is known by all  :embarrassed:
