HAHAHA amazing! I'm def going along for some 'famous motherwell european nights'.

To be fair. This could be very helpful for Motherwell in the future. They could gain a good few fans and make some ground on rangers (seeing as they are also declining rapidly).

mon the well

Football's bubble will burst sooner or later, and one day the Premier League will cease to exist imo, and we'll be back to the old Football League divisional tier.

And yet we make a profit, makes you glad we have ashley and not shepherd inthese current climates.

Surely they really are too big to go though?

"Too big to fail"

Now...where have I heard that phrase before?

Won't be able to play in Europe next season, missed the accounts deadline according to the Administrators.

Motherwell fans doing backflips in their living rooms.

Does that The Well or whoever get a pop at the CL qualifiers?

You'd have thought so, but unless they can find a benefactor who is willing and able to fork out £1 million a month, in addition to settling a tax bill that could reach in excess of £70 million, and is happy with the fact that the only meaningful income the club will generate for the next few years is through Scottish football's meagre TV deals due to Craig Whyte selling the season tickets to actually buy the club, then they're fucked.

Oh, and that's discounting the fact that Rangers are also being investigated for fielding ineligible players due to this not-so-clever set up they had regarding player contracts. There's been talk that they could've fielded at least one ineligible player in every game this season, which would see their points wiped and the club relegated, however the SPL and SFA have dragged their feet on this one and only really decided to look into it when a Scottish newspaper actually saw a hard copy of one of these alleged contracts.

Celtic fans must feel like they've won the lottery, everyday for the last month.

They won't feel like that when they're league is scrapped due to lack of interest if Rangers go

This.

Celtic need Rangers.

Rangers need Celtic.

the whole of Scottish Football relies on the two of them.

What a shit league

Not looking at all good for Rangers. Will be interesting to see what happens from there, as to whether a phoenix club will be set up and either apply to join the English Conference (and work their way up) or start in the Scottish Third division. Definite echoes of what happened in Italy with Fiorentina and Napoli, over the last decade and they managed to rebuild over time.

Rangers won't be the last 'big' club who will end up this way. Others will come along too.

What, they just don't bother with a football league anymore?

The knock on effects could see more teams struggle, not to that extreme imo but once TV money dries up and attendances start dropping each week it will put serious financial straims on most SPL clubs.
