Teasy
Hmmmm not sure tbh, sounds like they're REALLY unwilling to go above £6m and so are adding on other incentives. Dunno if at 27 they'd be that interested in a sell-on clause. Why not throw another bit on now assuming that we'll end up paying it at some point anyway with such a clause. Unless we're sticking a minimum-release clause in his contract like Ba but for a tidier sum. That would only benefit the player/his agent though wouldn't it? If the fee's set at something like £10m though, he has a class season and a bigger gun comes in and they stand to get an extra couple of million. Again though its of no advantage to us so there's no reason to do it. With Ba we allowed it because we started him off on lowish wages due to his knee problem. So it took that to convince him to sign. Debuchys desperate to be here so there's no reason to offer a release clause.
Dave
There's a French journalist on Twitter called Francois Piraux who writes for Sport365, he says the new offer today was €6m with the clause being 20% of any future fee, he got the info from @ignazzz365 who he claims to be a reliable source. Can't vouch them but as it's came from France it automatically gets more credence than our papers, in this case. http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/1209/75401543.jpg Looks legit. Anderson
The knob says Cabaye is thought of as a possible replacement for Modric. I don't get this notion that Spurs could just swoop in and take one of our players if they wanted, their time has passed.
madras
you know sometimes when you get frisky and she's up for it, you start off like animals and you're enjoying it that much much you even stop yourself a bit to prolong it....but you put off a bit too long that you just keep on banging away to the point where it gets a bit boring and you struggle to get it over the line cos you've held it in before..............thats what this transfer is! Unsure whether this will be enough. Just give them €7m and we'll probably be home and dry.

Elliottman
Newcastle puts DebuchyAprès 6M for having made an initial offer of 5 million euros for Mathieu Debuchy, Newcastle returned to the charge this time with an allowance of € 6 million, together with a percentage to the resale of the player. Reportedly, leaders Lille, despite the signing of Djibril Sidibe, expected successor of the French international, have not yet given its response to Magpies
