Cardiff City 4 - 1 Newcastle United - 11/08/12

As if an individual friendly result has absolutely any influence on our negotiations for players, man.

It's not going to be the deal breaker (the performance, not the result), but I'm sure it gives Pardew & co some food for thought.

Precisely. How couldn't it? That's all my point was.

Not too sure where the 'we've had a bad preseason' has come from

Was thinking the same, thought we looked good against Fenerbahce, Braga & Olympiakos which were the 3 mains ones imo.

Not that fussed with the result, but it's the line up that's worrying.

Season starts in a weeks time and we've made no first team signings and all our best attackers are not up to speed. Cabaye's plated what, 45 minutes in pre season and HBA isn't involved.

Still, great summer.

Cabaye, Cisse, Ben Arfa have hardly played and are key players who won't be 100% fit against Spurs.  Not brilliant preparation.

Everything has been extremely positive from the camp all summer. Cohesion amongst the players, fitness far ahead of we were last season. Fuck all to worry about apart from the fact we have 1 or 2 shit players that should have been replaced.

Our best attackers will be observing ramadan and therefore being used sparingly.
