Guest malandro Posted January 17, 2013 Share Posted January 17, 2013 Both the club and Pardew never quite manage to be up front, there's always a lot of ambiguity and carefully worded get out clauses that give the impression (to anyone who doesn't just blindly buy into anything they say) that they are hiding something. They are always going on about recognising the need to improve their communication but it never happens, hence the PR lass recognising this problem for the umpteenth time at the recent fans meeting. Take today's utterances.. "I think now we've just got to find a way, that's what we're going to have to do. Our gameplan that we had last year and the way we played a little bit might need to change to just make sure that we continue being a stable Premiership side and then look to next year to start going back to attacking the top of the league." It means nothing, just vague random words thrown together. Reading between the lines it sounds like he is planning on reverting to a negative hard to beat approach. I agree they are more likely to fuck up the choice but the more he speaks, and the more crap football we play it may just be worth the risk.
