toontownman
He should have gone weeks ago. Today wasn't a blip. The blips are the wins. Today was just more of the same pigshit that's been served up for months. The difference today is that the fans, en masse, turned on him today. It's been a long time coming. This is the key difference. Back before Christmas there was a sense, from myself too that he deserved a bit more time and we couldn't just sack the manager on the first speed bump he hit results wise. We had however been playing with no attacking cohesion the year before, despite picking up goals and wins. For me at that point he deserved time to turn things around. It is certainly far from a blip now and he has in my opinion been give respectful time to show he can turn things around. Squad depth is a worry but it is not a sole reason, we should be able to beat more than half of the teams in the premiership with the players we have had at our disposal. It is time to pull the plug. Guest firetotheworks
He bathes in his excuses like. Yes, the summer was shit, but it's like he's used that to vindicate his pathetic efforts this season.

And that after he invited us to wank Mike Ashley off because of what a brilliant summer we had.
Yorkie
Think everyone has to hold their hands up now. He's not the main problem but clearly is having a counterproductive effect which is past the point of rectification. He is. His dismal performance this season has gone above and beyond the summer's level of failure. He was appointed by the same cunts that refuse to invest in the team. We've been dying a death since the summer of 2007. We can forget about any sort of progress with current ownership. They let him down enormously. I'd go as far as to say that they totally insulted the man after what he achieved last season. But he is single-handedly responsible for the vast majority of points lost this season. A negative attitude coupled with woeful decisions has left us with something like 12 defeats from 15 games, or something.
alexf
Why hasn't he been sacked yet? Seriously what more does this guy have to do to get the boot. We were on our way to getting 3 points today until he got involved. Disgusting. Up there with Souness for me now and thats not just because they both played Ameobi on the wing. Big Geordie
Pardew's looked really down for months. It's no surprise that the players are so devoid of confidence with the negative shit that comes out of his mouth, there isn't a less inspiring person in football. Absolutely. Just about everything he has done this season has been terrible, however one of the trinkets of shit that has really got my goat is his ridiculously negative aura. Whether it's his press conferences, his post-game bullshit, his EL excuses, or his containment XIs... he's been utterly negative all season long and it has completely rubbed off on all of the squad. I've been of the opinion it be pointless sacking him cos we won't get anybody better in. However, we couldn't do any worse as it stands. Losing at home to fucking Reading after being 1-0 up. I'm struggling to remember a worse ever defeat at SJP. I can't think of one in the Premiership era for sure. Hull at home after KK was sacked. Big Geordie
If Pardew isn't removed soon, it will happen when the supporters start to turn on the owner and his lacky. That will be the tipping point.

As shit as that was, this is on a totally different level. That was only the second home game of the season, and understandable considering the utter turmoil off-pitch that had immediately preceded it. Today we were in the lead ffs. I can't think of a defeat that was more unforgivable than this one.

He's not the main problem but clearly is having a counterproductive effect which is past the point of rectification. I used to think that but not now, he has been a rank bad manager for this season, but it's his inability to do anything different. Tbh it's embarrassing how useless he actually is. It's wrong to think that the lack of support from ownership hasn't hurt us badly this season, of course. But a competent manager still has this squad, with these players, at least 10th. I didn't comment on the lack of investment as that's plain for everybody to see and has hindered Pardew. But not to the extent that the team is where it is. And i say this again for the umpteenth time (something i say a lot ), it's the football, it absolutely rancid, the set pieces, the defending, the lack of movement. Every one of those things is down to him, new players or not.

He is easily the main problem, any other assertion is face-saving stuff tbh.
Kanj
He's a rancid manager who I'll fully say has lost it. As it stands today, with the players we have - the only hope of safety is a blinding return by Ben Arfa. He needs replacing.
Guest bimpy474
Chrissy was sacked for far less than this idiot. Fat Sam was sacked because Ashley didn't like the football. Pardew has achieved both worse results than Chrissy, and uglier football than Fat Sam gave us, also he has us in a worse position and worse runs than them two ever managed, and yet he still hangs on, baffling. Dave
Interesting to see how he's now going on about needing new players in to give the club impetus and a lift, citing the fresh face of Debuchy as a positive. Funny, some of us were saying exactly this all summer you knob.
Guest bimpy474
With 10 days until the next game, it's now or he's here until the end of the season, relegation or not.
toontownman
Sack him now, there's no argument anymore. Can't even use the transfer window as an argument. Pretty sure whoever we want would still come regardless of Pardew being here or not. Like someone mentioned. Perfect time to do it with a week and a half break. LoveItIfWeBeatU
I've been a supporter of Pardew, wanting to give him the benefit of the doubt due to our injuries we've had but that died today. If we can't beat Reading with the majority of our first choice team then we can't beat anyone. NUFC's record this season stinks. We haven't played well for a full 90 minutes in a single game all season. Even the games we have won like against Wigan and Bordeaux we did just enough to win without ever really turning on the style. He obviously can't inspire the players. He's been well and truly shafted by Mike Ashley not spending the required money but surely another manager could have got more out of the players we've had available? When we played Man U and Arsenal he's sent the team out to attack probably because he thought we'd lose anyway. When we play the lesser teams he sets us up to nick a goal and to then try to hold on to it. Fortune favours the brave!

It is a mystery how he became their choice, i don't believe the casino debts nonsense. Maybe he just used his silver toungedness on them, has a good season and looks the part. But every conman gets found out in the end.
