Newcastle United 1 - 1 Aston Villa - 02/09/12 - post-match reaction from page 39

Aye - not good. Lacking fluidity and ideas. Need a rocket up the arse at HT, because Villa are nout flash. I don't buy this being tired from Thursday as not many of them played and are we seriously getting to the point where professional footballers can't play 3 games inside a week? :thdn:

Utterly predictable tbh. Played 4-4-2, played shit.

Pardew needs a slap. If you find yourself having to revert to 4-3-3 every fucking game, surely that should tell you something?

Third game in a row Lambert has comprehensively beasted Pardew with a considerably inferior team.

First 35 minutes were abysmal.  Last 10 were better.  Not surprising the change coincided with a better ball-playing RB and a formation change.

Not signing Debuchy looks brilliant now that two FBs look to be out with injury.  Was shifting the 18 year old Bigi (who has actually looked good, fair play to him) into the side this early really part of the plan?

Clearly Cabaye-Anita as an engine room didn't work.  Not sure Cabaye-Tiote would have either given Cabaye's lacklustre play.  Orthodox 4-4-2 doesn't suit us and probably never will with the best XI we can put out there.  Pardew's got a lot of work on to save this match.

What a load of fucking bollocks. Why cant we ever have two competent full backs at this club?

Despite the scoreline Villa are so poor, but we're making them look so comfortable. Thank God Simpson's gone, now lets kick on and get something out of this awful game so far. Get Ben Arfa and Yohan more involved is a must.
