All signs point to 4-4-2

No they don't.

If we wanted a 4-4-2 striker to play up with Cisse we wouldn't have looked at Remy.

lol Pointless statement, first of all this is Pardew we are talking about.  He doesn't do what normal manager does.

You're pointless, so I won't bother.

Maybe we're going to line up with

              Krul

Deb  Saylor  Colo  Santon

    Anita  Cabaye  Tiote

                HBA

          Remy    Cisse

i like, especially if remy isn´t going to play on the LW. Dont expect much of him this season. happy if he sign tomorrow. then a quality cb like M`biwa

Not sure if old news...

F365's Top Ten January Targets To Avoid

It's the time of year when clubs begin to get desperate, but certain Premier League targets should be avoided at all costs. Matt Stanger picks the top ten.

1. Loic Remy

Considering Remy's form for Marseille this season, both QPR and Newcastle would be taking a huge gamble if they splurged a reported £11million on the striker. The France international has scored just three times in 19 appearances this term and his record of 12 strikes in 29 Ligue 1 games last year does little to justify his price tag. That Remy was also diagnosed with a heart problem during his Marseille medical in 2010 may also be a consideration, but more pressing is the lack of evidence to suggest the forward could spark an immediate revival for either of the Premier League strugglers.

I'll trust Carr who has already identified, Cabaye, Cisse, Debuchy, Tiote et al

Ba had similar warnings around him when West Ham signed him iirc. I think he's not sure to be a success tbh, far from it but does sound like he needs to move club to rediscover form.

Sounds about right. We need somebody in but he's far from a sure thing.

Also, tbf whatever you say about 'Arry, he has an eye for a good player and clearly thought he was good enough for Spurs last season.

Together with Carr thinking he's worth buying, I reckon he's probably just a quality out of form player. Certainly has a nice highlights reel :)
