'Loic Remy (nowt)'

Should be an :okay: face really. But in any case, let's see what happens next month - my distinct worry is that it's going to end up like the Erdinç saga...

:okay:

The problem is that our negotiations always end up on the papers described as "advanced" or "deal almost done" whilst we've just barely asked the price. After which we usually back off but the papers go on and on speculating with nothing else than made up theories and guesses and after several weeks it all ends with no signings.

Sky Sports understands Newcastle have spoken with Loic Remy's representatives to ascertain his situation - but they face stiff competition for his signature should he leave Marseille in January.

Chelsea, Tottenham, West Ham and Bundesliga outfit Schalkeare all understood to have an interest in the highly-rated front-man.

Remy has always stated he would be keen on a move to England, but was open-minded about his future plans.

Likewise, Sky Sports understands that Marseille are relaxed about Remy's future, whether that means him leaving in January or not.

The French side would like to keep the 25-year-old, but are open to a deal if the right offer is made.

Newcastle have had a long-standing interest in Remy, given their excellent scouting network in France.

Their interest in Remy has been heightened by the Demba Ba situation - which could see him leave the club in January if his release clause is met.

so our excellent scouting network finds good available players, then it gets out in public, other clubs paying higher wages move in, and get the benefit of our scouting. great.

Is this missing a safety wink or are you really saying the Chelsea and Tottenham scouting network consists of reading the newspapers to find out what Newcastle United is up to and then moving for our targets?

Which is probably why we're not really in for him.

Our excellent scouting network? Graham Carr is undoubtedly a very good scout and we've found a few good players, yes.

you don't need top scouting network to know who he is, can't believe how much this is rolled out. it will be like debuchy though eventually it will be that we watched him play once or Marseille moved the goal posts

why? i haven't got a clue who he is.

So we haven't even spoke with Marseille yet?  Another great way to p*ss off a club when trying to sign a player.

Did you actually just make something up to be angry about? Where does it say, or where is there proof that we have or have not spoken to Marseille?

You're just having posting to have a go at me as you like to do.
