Truth is we've actually played our best football of the whole season in these last two games. Take the positives and build in January. Some cracking over-reactions on here.

We conceded 7 FFS

And they didn't get out of 2nd gear.

Bullshit that like, Arsenal were fresh and at their very best. They pressed us constantly in the second half and our tired legs couldn't handle it. We actually did fairly well on the ball considering the disparity in fatigue.

Absolute Rubbish.

We just opened up the defence for most of their goals, any team would had beaten us with defending like that.

Another game where we've desperately failed to put two halves of a football match together. Really disappointed in some of the goals. Teams just don't have to work to score a goal against us, time and time again it's a stupid mistake (Santon not reading the line, Simpson's awful throw, Tiote standing on the ball in midfield) and we're rightly punished. Desperately need a RB and CB and if he continues like that, a Tiote replacement.

2 days ago we played Man United away for 98 mins, we then went to Arsenal away, who hadn't played. You could see the fatigue at 70 mins. It's the way it is, but it's f***ing unfair.

Fatigue did play a part but let's not forget that we'd let 3 goals in during the first 70 minutes.

We was great until last 15 mins where our tiredness and playing twice in 3 days really showed...

Our overall style of play and passing has improved tenfold in recent weeks

We wont go to OT and Emirates every week get some defenders in and likes if Cabaye and Hatem fit and we will be fine....

Fatigue was one issue near the end, but it's not the main factor in conceding 4 in 20 minutes.  Combination of fatigue, shocking defending and a few others.

Ayt. I'll do this legit.

Pardew - 3. I'll give him credit for his starting tactics, but he just has to take the blame for how we capitulated. That "no goals" imbued fear in our ranks, and the subs changed the game, for Arsenal. Shame as I was warming to him after the last game/Fergie comments.

Krul - 4. Sums us up. Performed so well and capitulated like everyone else.

Simpson - 2. Lost to just about everyone who had a go at him. Useless in both attacking and defending. And I'm being too kind with my words.

Perch - 3. Was solid but just fell when everyone did. Positively, a sight for sore eyes not to see hoofing from the back with him in.

Coloccini - 3. Was not there when we needed leadership. Rolled over and took the team down with him.

Santon - 2. Worst game in our shirt. Nothing came off in attack, and got caught out time and time again.

Tiote - 2. Just too careless to be in our team. Does nowt in attack too.

------------------------------------------------------------Purgatory----------------------------------------------------------------

Bigi - 6. Beautiful spreading of the play. Shades of Carrick v us a few days back.

Marveaux - 7. Our most creative player. Happy for his first goal, but sorry that he got it in these circumstances.

Cisse - 4. Least impressive of our attacking players. Invisible.

Ba - 7. Marveaux crafted, he buried. So powerful to deal with, and just has a striker instinct to match. Now I feel ashamed that he plays for us. Deserves better with this performance.

Obertan - 7. One of few players to get any credit in our poor shows lately. Much better on the left, beats his man, and has two feet.

Krul 7 - not at fault.

Simpson 5 - usual problems. Lacks initiative and radiates a lack of confidence.

Colo 6 - Lack of pace shown up at times.

Perch 6 - Did okay.

Santon 4 - Mentally AWOL. Shame because there's a decent player there.

Cisse 3 - Played out of position and it really, really showed.

Marveaux 8 - Calm and creative. Our best player by a mile.

Tiote 5 - Slows play down. Lost it too many times.

Bigi 6 - Improved as the game went on. Still raw.

Obertan 6 - Looks far more positive these days.

Ba 7 - Used his strength well at times.

I think Simpson could be rated lower. The guy simply wasn't in it at all today. Can't mark, leaves his flank wide open for a counter. Was bettered by Podolski throughout most of the match, and stood there watching the ball roll past him for the 4th goal.

First time we've conceded 7 in the PL btw.

Yeah 6-3 vs Man U at ours was that previous bad one  I can remember.

We lost 6-0 at Old Trafford.

What a disgraceful performance.

It's not acceptable to fall apart like that in 10 minutes, what the hell is that? For the goal difference if not for anything else...

Simpson and Tiotè have to be left out or we're getting relegated. What a nightmare.

And why the fuck has Cissè to go back and forward all the time and is asked to man mark Gibbs? The 4-3 is what happen if you put a striker to man-marking just outside his own box. That's ridiculous, Cissè should costantly be in the opponents' box and never get out of there, and we use him as a winger/fullback.

Thats why I am not yet panicking over relegation talk. Sure we would be silly to ignore our position but we have played some of the best football in over a year in the past four games. Shame it has coincided with our worst defensively.

If we continue to attack and play like we have we will be fine. Defense needs a coach raping to pair up with the one they took today. Without at new RB and CB we will struggle to get too much higher in the league.
