Just because he isnt performing now, doesnt make him a terrible player all of a sudden. Dont forget the position we put him in. He can do a great job protecting the back 4, and laying off short passes to cabaye/anita and the fullbacks. Not even 12 months ago we would have been upset selling him for 20mill and now all we want to do is get rid of him. Id like Tiote in the team, with the simple job of breaking up play, and handing the ball off to midfields in front of him. In that role, I believe he can thrive. If we need someone to spray long passes around, or be a box to box, he isnt that person. Nor do we require that role for every single game. Nobody said he was a terrible player all of a sudden. Which position are you on about, CM? with the simple job of breaking up play, and handing the ball off to midfields in front of him.
