Not in Monaco isn't that the draw for players?

Oh yeah, of course a little tax haven.

Ligue 2 though so we'll see.

They are joint top so looking canny for promotion.

Well QPR have set themselves a precedent now.  Players will want deals similar to that given to Remy.

Totally worth it should they stay up. 3-4 key signings like this and they've got a great chance. Some of their other big signings are starting to play as well: on the up.

Very short-term way to see things.

whereas should they go down its (between wages and transfer fees) if they sign M'Villa bound to be near £20m down the drain with little to nothing reclaimable because of the low release clause on relegation or they just go for free

Opposed to our long-term thinking that has us where right now?

The way they are spending I 100% believe that even if we go down and they stay up this season we will still be better off in a few years as they fall down and are in such a mess struggle to stay in the championship.

They are doing a Portsmouth but on an even bigger scale. Their wage bill must have been ridiculous before Remy let alone anyone else they have to massively overpay to join them.

Won't end well.

Aye what they do is not sustainable, hell even what O'Neill does is not sustainable and you sort of see that now with Sunderland targeting some cheaper options from abroad.

I still think they will go down personally, they still have a lot of points to make up and signing loads of players won't automatically mean an upturn in results.
