Guest Howaythetoon
Not a footballer, Amadaye Faye was better on the ball FFS! Awful performance up there with the very worst, he seriously isn't a French international is he?!

Guest alijmitchell
I mean, If we're judging his technical ability on short passing, long passing, dribbling, shooting, close control, vision, crossing, and decision making, then he's demonstrated that he's technically shite pretty much since we got him, give or take maybe a few games in which he has stepped up. What we have is a fast, strong powerhouse of a player with fantastic stamina.
Guest alijmitchell
But Faye most certainly was not better.

NG32
Amdy faye ffs, one of Souness' class of 05 Couldn't pass, couldn't tackle, couldn't shoot, couldn't head the ball but was a nice lad. That Amady Faye fella was used by agents. Dodgy as fook.
Kanj
He's a fine footballer man - he clearly hasn't progressed under the expert coaching of Alan Pardew nor is this lad a #10 or Right Winger or whatever have you. He's an all action CM who should be driving us forward from deep positions and destroying people on the counter with this strength and pace.

WarrenBartonCentrePartin
Amdy Faye was one of the worst footballers I've ever seen wear the shirt, man.
Kanj
He was great as Toulouse with Capoue winning the ball and holding - allowing him to get up and down the pitch. He needs a Tiote next to him and he needs a skilfull creative player ala Cabaye or Sylvain to get the best out of his abilities.

NEEJ
Worse than Amdy Faye? Howay man HTT. That's up there with hundreds of billions in my book.
Jordan
Booked for fuck all yesterday. Can't stand this soft sport. Aye people on twitter were saying they were surprised it wasn't a red so I was expecting a horror tackle. It was just a good challenge, didn't even warrant a booking. Hughesy
Frustrating because he has all the physical attributes you might want in a box to box midfielder, but technically very inconsistent.
The College Dropout
The reason why opinions here go from Palmer to Zidane is because that's how he plays. That heavy first touch for his 1v1 was legitimately very poor but then he showed an a excellent touch, quick feet and a well measured pass to create Marv's 1v1. Doctor Zaius
Tbf HTT did say Amdy Faye was better on the ball, which I'd agree with. Although, obviously Sissoko is a better footballer, with the ball at his feet, he's woeful.
arnonel
Still think he should be developed in the midfield, in the Tiote type role.
alexf
This is all bollocks. Sissoko has shown plenty of times his qualities. He's shown with some of his goals he's got a decent strike on the rare occasions he gets it right. He has good dribbling skills, nutmegs opponents atleast once a game and can power away from people. Passing - When he first arrived he showed some excellent passing and when he plays a deeper role he has played a calmer, better passing game. Obviously he is a tremendous athlete and this is probably what Pardew loves the most. He can get forward but also tracks back well. His problems are his composure. He probably gets into goal scoring positions more than anyone else in our team through his speed and willingness to break forward. But he often panics or doesn't know what to do with it which leads to bad control or bad decision making. His finishing is a big weakness that he needs to work on. He was obviously told to be the man yesterday by giving him the captain's armband and this led to some erratic and poor shooting from long range. Perhaps one of our players with the best potential. Let's not write him off and associate him with Amdy Faye when Faye couldn't dream of producing some of the performances Sissoko has for us this season. People have short memories. Pata
Sissoko is infuriating at times but comparing him to Faye is just ridiculous.
