AyeDubbleYoo
He only had that one game against Chelsea, but i think it's because the oppo sussed him out. He's a shit player and isn't good enough for NUFC. I'd rather we played Sammy and got a bit width. At least he cares. Sissoko is just a donkey that was a horse for a day. Mate, this is weapons-grade bollocks.

Guest icemanblue
It really is, like. It's happening in the majority of player threads, too. To be expected, I guess. One good performance and it'll all be forgotten.
Ste
Nah, I'm not writing him off yet like.
nufc4eva
Don't see what he is offering over say Anita at the moment. if anything Anita is a better passer of the ball and defensively. Sissokho doesn't really do much in this team. Want to see him bombing on with the ball but he just doesn't, whether he has been told not to by Pardew i'm not sure but he has looked terrible lately

colinmk
I remember quite a few premiership managers expressing their jealousy in Jan when we signed all these 'shit' players.
TRon
I remember quite a few premiership managers expressing their jealousy in Jan when we signed all these 'shit' players. Tbf, quite a few foreign players don't understand the passion of British football and can't handle the pace of the football here...like Tevez and Mascherano for example
Gallowgate Toon
Didn't he start behind the striker yesterday? Absolutely rubbish move considering it was Hatem ahead of him. His role should be a very simple one, stick him next to Tiote/Anita and play Cabaye ahead. Or, play him and Cabaye ahead of Tiote/Anita in a traditional 4-3-3. He's a pure box-to-box player, his passing shouldn't be expansive and his main role should be to help drive the team on with his running/dribbling, supporting attacks and helping out the defence. He looks low on confidence to me and it's not really a surprise considering how he's been shunted about this campaign.
Ste
He's a young lad, he's been in the country less than a year and has been played in the wrong position for the most part. A good coach would get the best out of him.
Jesse Pinkman
To be honest if we were really desperate to change things, I'd have rather seen gouffran and Ben arfa out wide and Sissoko up top with Remy. Obertan is obviously better than Sissoko on the wing.
arnonel
I think we should try Sissoko as goal keeper

Happy Face
I think we need to play him or Tiote in the holding role with Anita and Cabaye ahead. Tiote can have the games where we need to shore it up and he's not allowed over the half way line, Sissoko, those where he'll be more free to make runs into the opposition half. Tiote can have the games where we need to shore it up and he's not allowed over the half way line, Sissoko, those where he'll be more free to make runs into the opposition half. Sissoko is simply not a holding midfielder. Nor is he a RM, as Pardew believes. He is a CM, plain and simple.
AyeDubbleYoo
He's just a CM, playing where he lined up yesterday (on paper) is his best position. Nobody had a good first half, he was just the one to be sacrificed because Cabaye and Tiote and more key to the way we wanted to play.
Ronaldo
A big, black holding midfielder that can't defend. That's a good one. Proof if it was needed that Happy Face doesn't actually pay much attention to the games.
Shak
A holding midfielder who makes runs forward into the opposition half? And yeah, the guy is never a holding midfielder in a million years. Another good player who is being wasted by our clueless manager, sadly.
TRon
He is quite good at making forward runs when we keep the ball on the ground and pass it quickly. Setting up such plays might cause some head scratching among our coaching staff however.

Segun Oluwaniyi
I think we need to play him or Tiote in the holding role with Anita and Cabaye ahead. Tiote can have the games where we need to shore it up and he's not allowed over the half way line, Sissoko, those where he'll be more free to make runs into the opposition half. Holding midfielders cannot be making the kinds of runs into the box Sissoko has made a career out of. It is the antithesis of the position. You must be thinking of his long lost cousin, Momo. It is funny, with most teams that bring in foreign players to this league, they struggle at first and gradually start performing to a high standard as they come to grips with the league. Our players come in and look like world stars, only to become "rubbish" as soon as they reach the period when they should be fully adapted. Really, really struggle to see what he offers to the XI other than not being the donkey Gutierrez. He can mark the likes of Benteke when our new £6m CB is busy marking fresh air. What is this line you are pushing?
arnonel
We can all have an intelligent debate what type of midfielder he is. But we can all agree he is never in a million years an RM or RW. Thats just plain daft
Skirge
Box to Box midfield free role "go do ya thing" is all Pardew needs to be saying to him.

Kanj
Next step, to play good against someone that isn't Chelsea please. This. He needed it though, everyone needs to take today and watch their performances - EVERY PLAYER needs to build on today. Even Cisse and Obertan
