Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa joins AS Roma then Lyon

Recommended Posts

He was Coloccini's replacement, and when he didn't go he was a bit part player. Probably would have worked out for him if Colo had gone back to Argentina.

Why is Willo undroppable, though.

Because he's the only one who can lead the defence, for a start, as shit as he often is.

All comes down to Coloccini not doing his bit, as per.

Relentless

It's not wrong though. Always looks like Willo giving the orders. Wrong when the bloke next to him is supposed to be the senior pro, never mind team captain.

Watched the Roma game from Saturday earlier on, he was pretty damn good. Confident with the ball at his feet, read the game superbly well and showed good upper body strength when he needed to. Didn't let anything past him all game.

The standard isn't massively different despite what the media will have you believe.

At least across the entire league, although the top teams are quite a bit stronger here outside Roma and Juve.

What is massively different is the style of play, it's a lot more tactical, narrow, slower and less direct.

But the actual quality isn't, in any case he's starting for a team which is better than the large majority of teams in the PL but he's not good enough for the PLs worst team apparently.

Howay. Second worst team.

Hopefully he starts tomorrow night and shines against Premiership champions, Man City.

Yeah, I hope he does start and plays a blinder. Would love to see headlines where people are shocked that MYM was sent out on loan.

Sorry, but the standard in that league is absolutely shit. It's waaay behind the PL and La Liga.

Still a disgrace that MYM is there instead of here, mind.

'Graham Carr "disgusted" by the decision to loan Yanga-Mbiwa to Roma. Says Trevor Morley, who spoke to him today, on Norwegian TV #nufc'

Tweeted by some fan in Norway. Not quite sure why GC was on Norweigan TV like

Fucking telling you man, If Llambeezy didn't somehow give Pardew the 8 year contract, we'd have been shot of this idiot and have kept Carr's findings (longer) than currently stuck with.

 I'd like to think this guy has been quietly building a shortlist of decent managers.

Your reputation rests on finding good players and when they do come, they're coached by Pardew and Carver. I'd be disgusted too. Fuck knows why Carr doesn't scout for a team that'll better appreciate his findings.

GC wasn't, Trevor was. He had also been told that Cabella was terrific in training and that Ashley still is behind Pardew..
