McLoven11
Leaning towards Laurent Blanc now. I thought that, though didn't he have major fallings out with some of the French national squad, including HBA? He had a couple of good seasons for Bordeaux didn't he? I think he was on Barca shortlist for their next manager when Guardiola was appointed.

I hate this outlook, no having a go at you by the way, i can see why people have it after all that has gone on before. But i see it like this now, were a big club, great ground, good players (imo), fantastic fans, great scout. Managers imo would want to manage us, and see us as a challenge to take on. Chelsea's owner is a complete cunt, yet top class managers still work for him.
Guest Bert Shaft
Benitez wouldn't touch us with a turdy telegraph pole. *shrugs shoulders* Why not? There aint many bigger jobs in England he could go to if he don't stay at Chelsea.
TRon
Benitez wouldn't touch us with a turdy telegraph pole. I know there's rumours of him coming here, but I find it difficult to believe he'd work with our player recruitment policy.

There aint many bigger jobs in England he could go to if he don't stay at Chelsea. Just don't think he's fussed about staying in England or desperately being in management at all tbh. We have aspects that are attractive; he justs strikes me as the type who can take it or leave it if he can't operate independently won't waste his time. Realistically you're looking at someone up and coming from the lower leagues, a gamble on someone abroad (would take informed choices on either) or chancers on the merry-go-round like Pardew. If the upper echelons were savvy they'd have been looking since the Sunderland game if not before. Crucial few days ahead in terms of defining their ability/intentions. Chelsea's owner is a complete c***, yet top class managers still work for him. for all the good points about the club you have pointed out. I doubt a new manager would be allowed to bring his own back room team in. I think the manger seems to have little control on transfers. Which means he would have little chance of bringing proven premiership players into the club. That's the reason I think no decent manager would want the job. I hope I am wrong. Fair points but Chelsea as an example buy players with the manager having little or any input, they even buys players when they don't have a manager and most clubs in Europe operate that way. That's why i say go for Montanier a coach used to that system. And as far i can tell Pardew does have some input into buys, from what he's said anyhoo. GM
Slaven Bilic No, not far from sacking in Russia. http://int.soccerway.com/teams/russia/fk-lokomotiv-moscow/ Excellent news, then. No compensation required.

I can see working under Abramovich a pain in the arse but the wages, transfer budget, players already at your disposal and chance to win trophies will be massively appealing to any manager. Even as a short term CV booster. Look at RDM, 5 minutes in football management and already has the biggest trophy in club football.
Dinho lad
If it's a French manager, then my choice would Claude Puel. Doing very good job at Nice.
Guest
Are people basing this on Euro 2012? His overall record for Bordeaux and France is good. Imagine of Sir Bobby had been judged and written off by everyone in 88.
