We don't seem to have an obvious leader in the dressing room on the playing staff, so it is vital that the bloke in charge is someone who can lead from the front. The only thing that plants a seed of doubt in my mind is that I think, one of the things Ashley probably liked about Pardew, is his ability to front the whole club. Clearly he'll never do it, Charnley looks completely incapable, Carr obviously wouldn't want to so it's going to fall to the 'Manager/Head Coach' supported by their media muppets.
