What we desperately need is for the new man to be a leader. We don't seem to have an obvious leader in the dressing room on the playing staff, so it is vital that the bloke in charge is someone who can lead from the front. Otherwise it would all be a mixed bag of clashing personalities, doing just enough to keep us in the division.

My thought all along has been that it will be Charver.

The only thing that plants a seed of doubt in my mind is that I think, one of the things Ashley probably liked about Pardew, is his ability to front the whole club. Clearly he'll never do it, Charnley looks completely incapable, Carr obviously wouldn't want to so it's going to fall to the 'Manager/Head Coach' supported by their media muppets.

Charver is not a front man. He's a fucking liability when it comes to that.

Sherwood/Sanchez on the other hand................

Exactly my point.

Sherwood in particular loves the sound of his own voice. Prdew lite, if you will.

Sherwood is a swarmy little prick. Don't want.

He is a total flid. No doubt. Can't stand the twat.

He's got this ability to annoy people without even speaking.

Basically, he should be a shoe-in for Ashley.

Remi Garde interesting Newcastle

According to our colleagues at RMC, Newcastle United are interested in contacting free manager Remi Garde over the possibility of taking the Premier League side’s vacant coaching position.

The former Lyon man is on their shortlist, but has yet to be approached for the position. This will likely change in the forthcoming 48 hours.

After the departure of Alan Pardew for Crystal Palace, Newcastle must now find a new coach. A source close to the English club, the leaders of Magpies think of Remi Garde profile. The former coach of the OL would have supports in the English club because of his extensive knowledge in the Premier League but also the large number of French club. For now, the leaders of Newcastle have not contacted concretely former coach OL. President Mike Ashley and managing director Lee Charnley has decided to enable discussions with potential coaches within 48 hours. RMC Sport attempted to contact Rémi Garde but remained unreachable.

#nufc managerial exclusive in the Sunday Sun & up online around 10. Have spoken to someone interesting who wants the job (CL experience)...

Seems a little inconsequential with all due respect, unless the club also want him...
