The other games today - 2012/13

Recommended Posts

I know sounds ridiculous but Bayern were good nothing more, their attacking wasn't especially creative or exciting and any decent defending would have seen them off. Arsenal gifted them all 3 of the goals. They look a team designed to be solid and then grab a few clinical goals. A well organised defence would have been enough to halt them now as it was last season.

Booing after losing to Bayern Munich.

Why are London fans such a bunch of pathetic w*****s?

Like Liverpool and Man U fans, they take success for granted, and convince themselves that they are ENTITLED to success and trophies. The press of course, encourage them to think that way....

...as Chelsea proved last season, while not playing particularly well

But what's the point of being a Man U fan if not to just win everything. They've invested loads of money to watch a team of loathsome cunts from another part of the country, of course they are entitled to winning

:troll:

Outclassed, simple as that. How that team lost to Chelsea i'll never know.

Chelsea knows how to defend. Also, Drogba.

Well that and they didn't even bother to try and attack Bayern and they got a bit more luck.

Also this Bayern side is miles better than last season, this year Robben, Gustavo and Gomez are on the f*cking bench.

Maybe more solid in midfield and defence but don't think they ever showed anything especially clever in the final third, it almost looked like a good ruthless league game against some poor team who can't defend. Didn't need to show any first class attacking.

Stormed down the tunnel without shaking hands with Bayern's manager/staff.

Really? It wasn't even like Bayern played dirty or the game was mired by controversy. That's pretty daft.

He must know he's out the door soon.

He does it virtually every time they lose, just a bad loser with no class when they do.

Having read that back seem slightly curmudgeonly, Bayern had great shape and were very good on transitions, also showed proper width at times. Just felt like they should have more gears to go through if they want to beat top quality teams

Over 2 legs, struggling to see anyone other than Barca beating them. Maybe Man Utd or Real if they play their very best stuff.

I have watched them a lot this season believe me they are much better than they were last season....

They are just well oiled machine all over the park... Ribery-Kroos-Muller are so smart and Manzudkic is much better at link up play than Gomez was.

Robben coming off the bench is dangerous because he can pick the holes that tired defenses will leave that perhaps at start of games wouldn't be there.

It may not seem like they are doing anything extremely special but what they do is so simple and clever and quite frankly so effective it doesn't matter.

They are much more of a team than last season and just improved in team play all over the park.

While i agree they didn't show much first class attacking, fact is they didn't need to.

They are a side who while may not have what you would call magical individuals but they do everything so well and as we have seen with Spain and Barca if you have a team like that with some individuals sprinkled here and there you win things.

They have been my pick for the CL since the start of the season and tonight showed some of the reasons why, it may not seem very impressive but this is how you win major trophies.

Can see exactly why Guardiola has picked Bayern. Minimal work needing to be done to win the CL, maximum credit to be reaped for the years of hard work and foundation building by others.

Van Gaal deserves immense credit for starting this btw, even if he is a crazy bastard.

Yeah for a real challenge he would have gone to manage Stoke.

Admitably they are a team who are pretty much nearly there already, but accusing him of chickening out of the premier league when the alternative was getting sacked after 6 months at Chelsea? He's gone to a well run club where he'll have a level of stability and could make a dynasty there.
