loki679
Profit!!!!!!! So at least we can confirm the January figure was about £23m now. Surprised it's that high tbh. About £22m outlay in January with £7.5m (?) recouped from Ba.
Dave
Profit!!!!!!! So at least we can confirm the January figure was about £23m now. Surprised it's that high tbh. It's about exactly what everyone thought tbh, looking at the likes of transferleague.co.uk. Llambias claimed we spent £31m net the lying prick. Si
As a supporter you hope and you pray. The rainy weeknights away at Stoke, the tense periods where we go against the plan and pass the ball, the times you shop at Sports Direct not because you want to but because you have to. Then this happens and makes it all so worthwhile. We won the profit* *Not including bigger more successful clubs, and smaller but better managed clubs. ChrisMcQuillan
What about the increased television revenue? Where does that factor in?
Dave
The references to FFP are brilliant like. We must be the only fucking club following it.

ChrisMcQuillan
If that revenue is next season, our profits are going through the roof.
loki679
So we made a £10m profit having spent £16m net on transfers. This season we've spent the square root of fuck all and brought in £20m for YoCabs so that's £30m profit next season already. Plus the new TV deal and the increase in commercial revenue they mentioned and we're looking at a cool £65m profit. We won the balance sheet champions league. Interpolic
The profit / debt repayments on next year's accounts will be mental, having seen 2 transfer windows with no transfer spend, numerous high earners shifted off the books and £20m+ brought in by player sales. NG32
What about the increased television revenue? Where does that factor in? It factors into Ashley's back pocket.

BottledDog
Nothing to get hung about, but good news all the same. Hope they use the money wisely to give us something to cheer on the pitch.

Paully
The accounts up to June 2014 will be absolutely mind-blowing! No permanent transfer fees paid out, £20 m in from Cabaye, humongous increase in media revenue, probably a rise of about £6 m via our league placing, 3 new kits and sponsorship deals! We’ll be on course to make a profit of about £50 to £60 m!

Rich
So what's to factor in by this time next year then? -New TV money -Wonga deal -Other minor commercial partnerships that have emerged -Sales of Perch, Inman and Cabaye -Harper and Simpson leaving on frees -Gosling/Gutierrez leaving on loan for a full season between them -Remy and de Jong coming in on loans -Kinnear's contract -Less matchday revenue due to less home matches Any significant new contracts in the past year? Can only think of smaller ones like Dummett and Newton.
morpeth mag
Don't forget we'll have the full year effect of the wages for the January signings......no wonder we've had some quiet windows since. Secondly it was interesting to note the repeated mention of FFP. I thought under FFP you had to move towards balance year on year. Think we'll be the only club achieving a profit at year zero. Chelsea and Man City should achieve a balance circa 2050 given their starting positions.
