Guest DebuchyAndTheBeast
Yeah it's definitely not our best configuration but Shola upfront will help us gain some ground against a team that is comfortable in possession. And Cissé on the wing is definitely better than Shola on the wing

RodneyCisse
I reckon Sholas going to have one of his big european nights, coming from the bench to clear off the line when we're 2-0 down.

All the big useless plank will do is stand around admiring all the passing and movement around him.

buzza
Perch can fill in adequately. does the simple stuff simply and gives 100%. Not a huge loss, just a little less Momentum/impetus/brute force in the middle...

Wilson
I very much doubt they are in any way shape or form scared of facing Shola. He can't even hold it up like he once could, he offers nowt apart from maybe winning a long ball, which is pointless anyway as more often than not he's on his own, so tries to hold it up till someone gets there, but loses it, rinse and repeat. Bruno
Alan Pardew: "We'll have played two of the best teams in Europe, I think, in Manchester City and Benfica this week." Portuguese press headlines: "Alan Pardew: If Benfica played Premier League they would be in 10th place". http://i.imgur.com/334FLr3.gif Btw, Shola is certainly good but he's no Alan Kardec. Mole_Toonfan
Tbf to Shola IMO at least he has performed well in Europe this season.
Guest Benfica_1904
I can't agree with Pardew! Benfica is much better than Everton ( 5-0, 0-2 tie), Swansea, West Brom, Liverpool and Fulham!!! Of course Benfica would play for the first five places (united, city, arsenal, spurs, chelsea )
joeyt
Did Pardew really say that?

Hanshithispantz
Tbf to Shola IMO at least he has performed well in Europe this season. We're playing Benfica. It would be an insult to football if Alan Pardew starts Shola Ameobi against Benfica. It won't happen though.
