Hanshithispantz
Pardew was an average manager who punched well above his weight for one year and we loved him for it. However when we were a known quantity he couldn’t change tactics and thats was that I think that's how pretty much everyone has seen it go here, if he does manage to change then fair play, but that makes for pretty harrowing reading. Wilson
I'm sure there's some stats to prove them all wrong, as we all know you can't judge on what you see week in week out. “Did you go to the first play off? When he took off all our strikers at 1 nil down?” ---------------------- “Shocking tactically. Seems oblivious to the problems that we all see in the stands. And then to come out and say we were unlucky ---------------------- "My patience has run out, others is running out. Above all, what do the players really think? Some of them aren’t stupid, and if we feel he is all over the shop tactically, surely they are aware of that too and will lose (or maybe have lost) faith in him?" so damning. kingxlnc
Genuine ITK (I'm from Nottingham so don't ever usually come across these) but I've been told bookies have stopped taking bets on Pardew leaving following a flurry... so must mean he's going? Genuinely just been told by a client based in North East... Wonder if it's true!!

wormy
Bookies mean fuck all. Manager markets in particular suspend all the time whenever a flurry of bets are put on.

I don't really see what's so ITK about bookies not taking bets either like, it's open-knowledge Here's hoping anyway though.

alexf
Scary how accurate the trend is in his career so far. Even last year I always had the nagging feeling we were doing well in spite of him but I gave him the benefit of the doubt with the run we ended the season on and expected us to continue playing in that way this season. Unfortunately it has followed the trend and he appears to have been "found out". Reminds me a bit of Roeder except Glenn had a far weaker squad to work with in my opinion and didn't talk anywhere near as much bullshit as Pardew does. Mick
Aye. The flaws have been pointed out. I've noticed people like my anti Pardew bullshit much more than my pro Pardew bullshit. We don't need either though, my eyes say he's shit so he's shit, end of.

alexf
Hell of a risk you must admit though Ian? I agree completely when you said before that we will be better next season and I'm sure we will as we can't be much worse, plus no europe as he keeps banging on about. I'm just stuck with the idea that we are wasting a potentially gifted set of players with the wrong manager and eventually we will lose Ben Arfa, Cabaye etc before we have even seen them at their best in a free-flowing attacking team. Guest bimpy474
Maybe Pardew will be better himself. I think it's been quite apparent that he struggles under pressure as seen before managing us also. Starting a new season fresh might help. Not sure how any that will change the style of play but you never know.
