Ronaldo
Quite incredible. Fantastic gesture. The atmosphere was something else the night I was there for the 2-3, like. Even at 0-2.

The Money League is published eight months after the end of the 2011/12 season, and is therefore the most contemporary and reliable analysis of clubs’ relative financial performance. Key findings The 20 Money League clubs generated combined revenues of €4.8 billion in 2011/12, a 10% growth on the previous year, and account for over a quarter of the total European football market. Real Madrid retain top position for the eighth successive year and become the first sports clubs to surpass the €500m revenue threshold in a single year with a total of €513m. FC Barcelona remain in second place to ensure a Spanish one-two for the fourth year running. Manchester City and Juventus climb into the top 10, replacing Internazionale and Schalke 04, with revenues of €286m and €195m respectively. Newcastle United is the only new entry into the top 20 rankings, replacing Valencia, with each Money League club again coming from one of the ‘big five’ European leagues – England (seven), Italy (five), Germany (four), Spain (two) and France (two). LRD
What's the monthly football subscription plan in the UK like? My local telco just announced an increase from ~£18 per month to £30 per month, and the deal includes BPL content only (no FA cup, league cup, CL, other european leagues). Looking at this a little bit closer - the club recently reported that shirt sponsors Virgin Money will be replaced by loan company Wonga.com from 2013/14, as part of a deal which removes stadium naming rights branding and means their home returns to being known as St James’ Park. What happens when the Wonga deal ends? Would SD immediately replace the stadium name again or would it remain St James' Park until somebody else stepped in? My local telco just announced an increase from ~£18 per month to £30 per month, and the deal includes BPL content only (no FA cup, league cup, CL, other european leagues). Just to add - considering there is no football during off-season (3 months), that actually works out to be £40 pm just for the BPL alone. Madness. I'll prob have to turn to alternatives like Soccer2Go or other websites.

Deuce
Feigning outrage over 'improper' player numbers is as ridiculous as feigning outrage over the concept of tattoos. Probably one more for the pet hates thread, but I digress.
