James McClean was supposedly sent home by Wigan today for refusing to wear the Poppy shirt

Refused to wear it at Sunderland as well didn't he?

He was allowed to wear one without it on, within his right whether you agree with him or not. I dont agree with him fwiw.

That's the thing, I struggle to believe he knows why he is refusing to wear it. I could respect his choice even if I didn't agree otherwise.

I can understand the Irish maybe having issue with it, but what I cannot understand is those Celtic fuckheads holding up banners about "the blood-stained poppy" and "Iraq Afghanistan Ireland". They're fucking Scottish and their family members / fans would have fought for Britain more than likely. Bunch of fucking spastics.

I noticed Shane Long and Chris Brunt didn't wear them yesterday.

They did but I think West Brom only had 1 set of a shirts with a poppy on cos in the 2nd half, half the players had poppy-less shirts on.

Still pathetic actions from McClean and Ross County/Celtic FC.
