Celtic cross isn't really to do with Catholicism. Its more just Irish and Scottish symbol. As Belfast mag said it is on the NI team crest and they aren't exactly associated with catholicism to say the least :lol:

Ok, so google tells me it's a white power/neo nazi symbol, so that seems pretty clear now  :sad:

Did not know that.

The Celtic Cross doesn't necessarily have to have the longer bottom bit, but in any event, this symbol is known as "the Celtic cross" amongst them because they consider the "celts" as the true "Europeans" and as such, racial pure.

Certainly adopted by the Catholic church in Ireland (both Roman & Anglican) but predates all churches and was originally a Druid symbol (or something like that)

 

Remember something about "the four elements" or something like that.

 

Can't be arsed to google it, but it's something of that nature.
