Probably NWOAT but anyway...

Do people think a selection of fans would make a better manager than one man? Obviously there would need to be an elected manager on the side-lines but if there was a group of people making his/her decision would we be better off?

Every game there seems to be a player most don't want to start in the 11, every game there is a sub or time of sub everyone thinks is moronic. If we had a number of people voting for every decision would we be better off? This committee would obviously have to be voted for rather than some morons (mackems) just randomly voting on Gosling playing in goal or Shola starting up front.

Would a group of people watching players over a certain period of time be a better judge than one man who has built up relationships/grievances etc..

What if you go 1-0 down in a game and a drastic tactical change is needed? Everybody huddle up on the sidelines and vote? What if it was a tie, who decides on the deciding vote etc. Also the guy on the sidelines would feel pretty worthless if people were making his/her decisions. It would be a good idea for picking the starting line-up, as the fans know what is best most of the time, but for in game tactical decisions it would be a shambles.

There are probably going to be some clubs who try for joint managers again, but it's been shown to be a mistake in the past.

I'm not convinced. In our case it's very easy to say that a selection of fans that could demonstrate at least some tactical acumen could do a better job than Pardew, but what about the pressures associated with the job? As an armchair manager you get to make all the decisions you like but never have to live with the consequences, good or bad. Put yourself in the actual position and suddenly, billy big bollocks with his full on attacking line up might shrink a bit.

How long before the fans have a fight on the side lines as well because they can't agree on a substitution or tactical change? We also see some f***ing mental line ups on here that scare the living s*** out of me, that people think it could possibly work in a real world situation, imagine they could somehow get them put into action!

Majority rule.

If >50% vote for a sub then a player has to be put forward, then the majority vote decides who is brought on/off.

I realise this is a ridiculous idea but its a bank holiday Monday and we are probably all bored

So it happened once and they won? From my calculations if we won every game we would probably win the league/some cups.

Just went to their website and they still have it on in some capacity. Just voted for them to play a 4-3-3 in their promotion playoff final.

They even have player profiles like you're playing FIFA

'Computer games!!!!!11' etc but if would be a fun experiment if someone could get the latest Football Manager game set up so that all squads match the Premier League accurately and play out the fixtures accordingly - one save making the same lineups and tactical decisions as Pardew and another based on choices voted for on here. I assume the game would have to be hacked to fix the opposition lineups etc and be more effort than it's worth like.

It wouldn't mean a single thing of course, but it would be a fun diversion similar to the prediction league has been this season.
