When we were reliably beating them every season, our lads looked relaxed and the mackems always looked either terrified or too wound up putting stupid challenges in. I was talking to a Sunderland fan at work. He doesn't go to games any more. He said he'd rather they were relegated so they could go back to winning games in the Championship. NUFC and Sunderland are like two bald men fighting over a comb. These days Sunderland fight to finish just above the relegation places and Newcastle give up half way through the season.
