hithere
Was Di Fanti not an appointment recommended by Di Canio? Other way around But Di Canio came in 3 months before De Fanti. Don't know the ins and outs of the whole thing but De Fanti was advising Short well before Di Canio was appointed. Just didn't have an official club title. Toon Hoser
Swear to God somebody could get elected to Prime Minister in Britain with no policies other than "God aren't footballers c***s? Aren't they? c***s. Rich c***s. Aren't they?" Tedious as f***. That was the Callaghan platform in '76 iirc. ^ I found it funny.
Dokko
Rdm and poyet distance themselves while they now look at Ince and zola. Pulis and mcsteve also still in the running... Not a great selection, should have kept pdc
AyeDubbleYoo
The relief of getting Di Canio out will probably lead to a new manager boost even before they appoint someone TBH. The players must be ecstatic.

WarrenBartonCentrePartin
1000: PAOLO DI CANIO REACTION Sunderland are looking for a tracksuit manager to replace sacked Paolo Di Canio, reports the Sunderland Echo. The Echo reports that the club plans to continue with the new continental system of management pioneered with the arrival of the former Swindon boss in April. And for that reason they are looking for a head coach to work with the players on the training pitch while player recruitment is left in the hands of director of football Roberto De Fanti and chief scout Valentin Angeloni. KaKa
Except M'ON and Pulis would never work under a director if football who is in charge of transfers. Likely to be someone from abroad at this rate, or someone who isn't English anyway.

WarrenBartonCentrePartin
If they want a tracksuit manager, he should be forced to carry his pen and notepad around in an ASDA carrier bag, which as part of his pre-match ritual he removes, thus letting the bag swirl around the stadium in front of the faithful. It'd be like Benfica's eagle, only a little bit more shite.

Willow
I reckon Zola will get it and I think he'd be a good option for them. If so, I reckon they'd scrape a 15th finish.

BlueStar
I think Poyet, Di Matteo or Zola would be worth a punt for them and have a fair chance of turning it around. Can't see any of the other names mentioned ending in anything else but disaster, or mediocrity at best.

KaKa
Oh man, please not Zola! Impossible to hate that guy. That would really suck. He's also doing good things at Watford. I'd like to see him bring them up.
ElDiablo
Don't rate Zola personally, been gifted a good squad at Watford but seems to have no plan b when his initial plan goes awry. He also plays 352 which you simply just can't do in the Premier league.
