John P Posted August 15, 2013 Share Posted August 15, 2013 Hmmm, it's quite clear that we're not going to be spending more than about £8m on a new striker (if we get one at all), so to miss out on Bent for about £6m is pretty disappointing. Pardew shoe horning him into some impractical broken formation week after week is more likely to help us go down than save us. The creative powers of Darren Bent running at the opposition and slipping balls through for Cisse, mouth watering.. You're just not very bright, that's the top and bottom of it. No goals or creativity and we turn our noses up at players with a proven track record of providing both in the PL.
