Asked if he would still be at Newcastle when the transfer window closes on Tuesday at 6pm, he said:

"I don't know. Seriously, I don't know.

"I don't like to speak about it."

"I always want to play and I'm always ready but I don't know if I've done something wrong," he added.

"The decision is for the gaffer to make and I accept that but it's very hard for me.

"It's not the first time this has happened - two years ago and earlier this year again.

"Maybe one day, here or away, I will have my chance to play football again."

Newcastle are keeping tabs on Hamburg's Pierre-Michel Lasogga and could swoop if Cisse leaves.

Isn't that a rehash? Doubt Cisse will go now.

Urgh shut up Cisse man. In 3 of his 4 seasons he's basically been the first name on the teamsheet. There are other options now and he needs to earn his place.

Aye. He was lucky to have kept a place at all after 12/13 and 13/14

Ayoze is a pleasure to watch and I wouldn't want to see him leave. I'm not emotionally invested though so wouldn't be crestfallen.

From the heirachy point of view to get 10m+ for a player who isn't a first XI player would represent brilliant business.

yeah.

He is supposed be a very good talent, but I have seen very little of him. He is already an established stopper in the Bundesliga though.

But that article is mostly just bashing the national coach, saying he is crazy not to pick him when Everton and us wants to pay 9 million pounds for him. They say it comes from German sources and they guess that Bremen will most likely reject the offer, since it's too late to get a replacement in.

Not when the market is how it is though. Get him playing, and he'll fetch a lot more than that. There's no rush.

They've rejected bids around £9m from Everton and us. They also expect him to stay because they won't have time to find a replacement.

His agent:

Rejected five bids (not sure if all different clubs).

Werder Bremen and Vestergaard have decided between them that one more year to prove himself is the right thing.

The guy who broke the story of Ayoze coming here from Tenerife, says the interest from Tottenham is real. Maybe they wanted him as replacement for Lamela who was supposed to go to Marseille. Pochettino blocked that move just a few hours ago.

A "senior source" at the club has told Keith Downie Perez isn't for sale.

If anyone wants some false excitement, McClaren isn't at the training ground today.

Getting a haircut hopefully.

Gone to Makro to stock up on tea bags, most probably.

Crystal Palace are understood to have expressed an interest in Newcastle United left-back Paul Dummett - but the Eagles face a race against time to get the deal done on deadline day.

Sources at Palace suggest that Dummett is a player that Alan Pardew - who handed him his Newcastle debut - still admires the Geordie defender and is keen to add more Premier League experience to his squad at Selhurst Park.

Palace sounded out the possibility of signing Dummett last week but knew they needed to clear their wage bill before moving for another defender.

Palace then moved both Barry Bannan and Glenn Murray out of Selhurst Park yesterday.

Wales international Dummett is thought to be valued at around £8million and has two years left on his current contract.

But time is running out for Pardew and they are still to table an official bid.
