Unbelievable
I'd take him on: Initial transfer fee of £1 £500k per 10 games (up to 100 games) £1m per 10 goals Basic wages of £1 £50k per goal, £20k per assist £5m + a 50% cut of Stevie's pay if he headbutts Pardew We's snap their hands off then never play him regardless of fitness. Zero
The question would be whether his injury is a recurring one that cannot be fully healed?
loki679
He's constantly injured, i'd stay well clear of him. Don't think his lifestyle helps much either like.
EthiGeordie
Newcastle beating Everton to CSKA star Seydou Doumbia NEWCASTLE have surged ahead of Everton in the race for CSKA Moscow striker Seydou Doumbia. As reported by Express Sport last month, both clubs are keen on signing the 26-year-old this January as Roberto Martinez and Alan Pardew search for more firepower. Everton are yet to see the best of Romelu Lukaku this season, whilst Newcastle are in dire need of a goalscorer to help them avoid a relegation dogfight. However, reports in Russia claim that the Magpies are front-runners for his signature, with Pardew ready to make the former Ivory Coast international a lucrative offer. Doumbia's current deal expires in 2016, and the Young Boys star is apparently keen to test himself at St James' Park. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/526623/Everton-Newcastle-CSKA-Moscow-Doumbia?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+daily-express-sport-news+(Daily+Express+%3A%3A+Sport+Feed)

Teasy
What is it with the papers and this delusion they have that Pardew has anything to do with transfers other than the odd free or loaning our best out.

Swissmag
unfortunately I can't get excited about NUFC anymore these days. Did not watch the last two matches and will do so in the nearer future. All so fucking depressing!
KaKa
I used to love reading up on potential targets. Really don't bother anymore, as even decent players, are made to look bad. Pointless.
nufc4eva
Transfers are pointless really, with pardcunt looking to nullify our players or bench any non-compliant players (Read attacking, creative, can think for themselves, non-plodder)
Chris_R
Indeed. Doesn't matter who we have, the plan is the same. Defend, graft, hope for luck. It's bloody awful and no players look good under it.
Wallace
Can't get too excited about transfers when the club says they are going to stick to their tried and tested formula. If we in a serious relegation battle come January, how would a bunch of young foreign players make a difference when we don't even trust the young players on our books as it is. We will not have the time to allow them to "adjust" to the league. We got away with it last time but we were in a better position back then.
KaKa
Funny thing is, had we signed Pelle and Tadic, they'd be looking awful. And if Cabella and Riviere had gone to Southampton people would be hailing them as good signings for Southampton. No doubt in my mind.
