Interpolic
Phenomenal work when a news source manages to make a 100-word "article" irritatingly repetitive.
GeordieT
"There’s always been a plan in place, always. “Whether I was here or anybody else, there was a plan. “I’ve seen that plan and probably adjusted it a little bit, but more or less stuck to the plan. “We can all sit down and know what the plan is. It’s a good plan. You can’t keep everybody. “I always say ‘we’re in here, and eventually we’ll go out of there’. “But while we’re here, we’ll work damn hard for the football club. “That’s the case with staff, players – everybody.” http://www.shieldsgazette.com/sport/football/newcastle-united/steve-mcclaren-and-newcastle-planning-for-departures-this-summer-1-7358791 Interesting comments. Suggests planning to sell certain players to buy perhaps?

Nobody
It's not quite "the clause is there" levels of defeatism, but frustrating to read nonetheless. Only player I'd be bothered about losing is Janmaat, and it doesn't seem like he's going anywhere just yet. Sissoko would be a bit of a blow, but I've resigned myself to him going for quite some time now, and I don't think he'd get in my preferred XI anyway. Obviously we need a squad and I'd rather get rid of a couple of our shit midfielders instead of him like.
Andy84
If it's true about wanting the signings in prior to letting anyone go that would suggest one of Sissoko, Cisse perhaps tiote out? Think the likes of Abeid, Marv will be shifted, perhaps one or two more away on loan. Really hope they don't put a dampener on what may well be a decent window with an 11th hour sale of Sissoko for instance.

Dan Gleebals
I would hope some of these cloggers are going!! Most of the squad is shit and needs replacing!!
AY
If Tiote isnt starting then he will probably be sold. Too expensive for the bench. Same goes for Colo I guess.

NEWCASTLE will make Schalke centre-half Joel Matip their leading defensive target this summer after accepting they will struggle to pull off a deal for Monaco’s Aymen Abdennour. Alberts Mustache
Have we been linked with Robin Knoche lately? Loved that rumour in january, but haven't read anything about him this window.

taxfree
Joao Carlos Teixeira from Liverpool in the Sun. Looked class for Brighton last season. Was really good in their game against the Thai All Stars. Two assists. Seems quick and clever, with a good pass and dead ball on him. Another rather attacking midfielder though. KaKa
After watching the game yesterday maybe I am not so surprised we continue to look for midfielders. Yes, we have many, but they are not really that great tbh. Looks like the whole thing might be rebuilt. Colback and Anita look like being part of the reserve unit if we are bringing in another one, and I'm very cool with that. Cathro will know Banega well too, if this is true. taxfree
Wonder why we're linked to central midfielders with attacking traits. If anything a more defensive minded CM would make sense. One to play alongside Wijnaldum.
Alberts Mustache
We need some who can distribute better than Anita and Colback, that's for sure and Banega fits the bill. But why would Sevilla let him go? And why would he want to go here?
