Ikon
Just curious, but does anyone know the reason why he and Mancini don't get along? Lack of playing time or other issues as well?
Mole_Toonfan
Not a clue, all i know is he's been benched by Mancini wouldn't be the first talented, attacking player that has been benched by him mind. If it's not bollocks, we'll have to be quick seeing as it sounds like Schalke are quite close to getting him.
sempuki
http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/topics/everton-and-newcastle-join-race-for-17m-star Very vague. Would be an impressive coup if correct.

Ameritoon
Thought about us signing him a few weeks back but didn't want to voice that idea because I knew it would never happen. Him, Mbemba and another centerback is a pretty exciting proposition
STM
If Stoke were interested, I can imagine we are but I just think it's a step too high for our lot.
Mole_Toonfan
If Stoke were interested, I can imagine we are but I just think it's a step too high for our lot. Depends on what the reasons were, we are buying more ambitiously than Stoke seemingly are and historically without sounding too arrogant our club will mean more across Europe than Stoke will. AyeDubbleYoo
Would love Shaqiri, if they're looking to offload him it might be feasible. Would improve the effectiveness of Cisse and Mitrovic a lot. Depends on the spending plan obviously, who knows what the budget is. I think our recent signings will make us marginally more attractive as well. Ameritoon
Man, we've fallen so far it might sound arrogant to say we're a bigger club historically than Stoke
ponsaelius
I'm pretty sure he's on the verge of joining Schalke as soon as Perisic goes the other way.

Skeletor
Probably made up lazy rumours, but we're linked with Shaqiri. (italian rumours, i know) http://0.media.dorkly.cvcdn.com/77/37/c7358e161859b0a65c09fef0e3996c13.gif

In general it's not a contest tbh.

STM
I still think we will sign Austin. Have no idea why but it's clear we are playing the long game with QPR. Hopefully the rumours of Vuckic the other way we're true.

Skeletor
Now that we have Mitrovic we can afford to play the long game with QPR for Austin. QPR have no leverage now.
Mole_Toonfan
I just struggle to see how Austin makes sense with Mitrovic if we are playing one upfront, one of them will be on the bench and i can't see us spending above 10m on a bench player.
STM
Absolutely. I think if we got 6 or 7m for Cisse we would push Austin through. I can only see Turkish/Chinese/Middle East sides paying much for Cisse though, so who knows.
AyeDubbleYoo
I would rather keep Cisse and spend the money elsewhere. If money's no object, aye gan wild.
STM
I would rather keep Cisse and spend the money elsewhere. If money's no object, aye gan wild. I think everyone would agree that another centre half or winger are priorities but that shouldn't stop us doing other business. Perhaps we might have those positions sorted before the Austin situation plays out.
