Think he'll take a break. Might even try to reconcile with his wife. Hope that's the case. Be nice for him to put his family 1st after all these years of playing 2nd fiddle to football. Would also mean he gets his money back. Not daft that lad. 😂

She won't take him back, not with all the spitting he does.

Feels like an opportunity for a club next season to go for the title. Hope we have a big summer and sign some quality.

Without Europe, if we get the window right, we may be the best placed.

That’s what I was thinking but after this season I couldn’t bring myself to type it.

Definitely a chance for the likes of us or Villa.

All depends on the window imo.

If we have a good window. Sign some quality and Howe implements change as he has suggested then it’s a good opportunity for sure

Right up there with Ferguson, Wenger and Mourinho for PL HOF managers.

Spain or international football next after a long deserved break?

Can't see him taking the Spanish National team as a Catalan.... Could see him taking Inter or Juventus if he wants to remain remotely relevant. If not it'll be MLS or Saudi. Would be interesting to see what he could do without the worlds best players and an unlimited budget

Arsenal apparently will spend another £300m in the summer. Can see them consolidating and winning it again if Man City drop off as will be expected without Pep.

Inter maybe, doubt Juve afford his wages.

Inter Miami went with an interim when Mascherano left. Reunion with Messi?

He's been at the club before, was Pep's assistant for a while

Yeah very much a “continuity” hire. Don’t think he’s a bad manager but those are still massive shoes to fill.

Maresca replacing Pep reminds me of Moyes replacing Fergie in that there's a "he's close enough" surface-level logic to it. Hopefully this fucks City up for years and years to come.

Or they fire him as soon as he falters and replace him with Klopp, Flick, etc.

Personally I think his legacy at City is tarnished by the 115 charges. Throw limitless money at any team and odds on you'll win things.

Probably had a bigger say on English football than 99% of other managers, you’ve got teams in the Northern League playing daft short goal kicks when the pitch is a mowed field at best and the players are absolutely shite.
