I thought he genuinely had something lined up that would get announced this week

Yeah weird that he would end his association with Bournemouth without having something lined up. I had assumed Liverpool would be the logical choice but they have kept it quiet if that's the move.

If he or his agent has put that out there it's bit of a dickhead move to be saying you're interested in managing clubs that both currently have managers.

And he's been stringing Palace along too

What's going on with Leverkausen? They have Hjulmand yet yesterday they were in talks with Felipe Luis

Feels a bit strange that he handed his notice in so early at Bournemouth, with seemingly no new job to go to.

Red flags all over like. Say what you want about Howe and plenty have, but he's never so much as hinted at belittling the club or what it can be in the way that the likes of Glasner and Iriola have at their clubs.

To be fair Glasner had to deal with Steve Parish.

It’s a red flag as to why he’s leaving Bournemouth imo. When he’s built the side and they’re about to go into the Europa league. I don’t think he's managed in Europe before, yes Bournemouth had a very good season but they played 40 games.

Iraola now doesn’t fancy it and he’s touting himself to manage an elite club with no prior record of managing 3 games a week. Glasner has achieved more

It's not red flag, they maybe can't agree a contract etc. Managers always leave when theor stocks high TBF and he can get a better job, no different to players in that sense, if he does go to AC Milan from Bournemouth it's probably one of the biggest step ups a manager will ever make.

It sounds like Bournemouth are going to get ransacked again this summer tbf. They’ve lost Senesi, and Scott and Kroupi look likely to go.

At some point it’s going to go horribly wrong for them. I feel sorry for them to a degree, they’ve had to sell to progress as a club but surely they’re reaching the point where they want to hold onto their players

They were 10th and a few points above about 14th when he announced he was chucking it in tbf

They promptly appointed a new manager within about a week so there wasn't any chance of a u turn.

See Lincolns manager is going to join Bristol City now, despite "turning them down" a few weeks and signing a new deal.

Always find stuff like this really disappointing and depressing. So exciting Lincoln being in the Championship, couod be a real adventure next year, Bristol City meanwhile will finish between 10th and 15th as they always do. Feel like you'd like to see him give it a go with Lincoln. Similar to how it will feel if Lampard ends up at Palace.

I get it, and theyre probably getting more money etc, but its still disappointing.

I can definitely understand him moving.

At the moment his stock is as high as it's likely to get at Lincoln as he's already massively over achieved.

If he struggles next season, which is more than likely, the job offers will suddenly dry up.

No shame in maximising any opportunities that come his way as he's earned them.

At the same time, Funtime Frankie can fuck right off.

Tory prick.
