Completely disagree, he would set us back a few years, piss everyone off and leave.

Totally agree, Miley will be loaned to the championship if he came.

I think he’s do a great job here. Short term appointment but if Ashworth is leaving before he’s started, it would make sense to back a manager who will just win trophies. Before they start another long term plan.

Mourinho is good for 2/3 seasons and then it goes south.

So you want rid of Howe and want Mourinho in for a few years? Christ.

His PR team are unmatched. The fact that people still rate him is mental. Mourinho has been honking for years.

Surely spells the end of a long and varied career. Best of luck to him.

They'll wheel him out again this time next year when they're in another relegation scrap

Rest easy, Roy. Would love to see him involved in media work at some stage if he fancies it, just a low-key legend of the game and you can tell he loves the game by his outright refusal to retire til he physically can't do it any more.

I've lost count of the amount of times I've now said let's see how he reacted to our current squad. He'd be fuming if he arrived and found out he 'only' had £150m-odd million to throw at it. He'd be gone in less than a season, either resigning in a huff or making his position untenable for a payoff.

He's worked half a century, he's getting his golden handshake. Let's hope he has a chance to rest a couple of years.
