They've got a huge decision to make with Kane this summer.

Do the unpopular and sell him for £80m-£100m and have cash to rebuild/reshape or hang on for another year and be in the position where they potentially have to replace him with no incoming funds.

The problem this summer is a lack of buyers. Man U maybe, Bayern possibly but very little else to drive any sort of price war

They'll not sign a better striker for £80-100m, and two very good £40-50m players wouldn't improve them with no Kane. They must keep him for their sake.

Spurs have also spent poorly as well. Look at that list. Littered with failures and bang average players not worth the fees they paid.  Ndombele, Gil, Reguilon shipped out on loan, Richarlison scored 0 league goals might well join others sold at a loss after not impressing.

In all honesty I struggle to see why they have a problem with Levy, aside from not winning a trophy.

They have gone from being an average Premier League club with an average stadium, average squad, and average everything else.

They now have the best stadium in football, if not in sport as a whole. It also attracts NFL games, and other events. Early rumours are that it is in line to be home for a new London based Rugby Super League club.

They have a new state of the art training ground.

They have brought in some really good players in the past, and done so at a profit where there is not much overall outlay.

They have brought in good managers. Poch was a young, up, and coming manager when he was appointed.

Despite his downward slide, Mourinho had won something everywhere he had been, and has even won a trophy for Roma since. Conte was considered to be a massive coup who just hasn’t worked out.

They also have gained amazing commercial deals. Their deal with Nike, with the exposure they get, they should not be getting for a club that isn’t relatively successful.

Ok so their last trophy was only 15 years ago, poor them, and was only the League Cup, poor them again. No club is guaranteed success, no matter how well ran they are behind the scenes. This is one of the reasons why I was so desperate to win the League Cup a month ago, because no matter how well our owners do, the success is not guaranteed.

I can’t help but feel that Arsenal going back around is making their fans start getting twitchy. If they win the FA Cup next season is Levy suddenly the good guy who’s done everything right?

Hope not. Be good for us if he left, he’s the glue in that side/team and be far weaker without him.

Hope Bayern come a calling

I think they’re just embarrassed and frustrated that even though they’ve improved in so many areas, success hasn’t come. They must be thinking,

if it doesn’t come now, will it ever? And the answer to that is that I think they’ll start slipping away as we rise up. Villa are on the rise as well, alongside other clubs. Spurs have had their heyday and they still didn’t achieve anything

Looking at the table in recent years, I don't really get what Spurs fans are moaning about. A series of top four finishes, a CL final, a brilliant new stadium.

Yeah yeah no silverware for a bit, but this is a club whose last title win was closer to the reign of Queen Victoria than it is today, and they've only won it twice, so a degree of "much fart, not so much shit" is to be expected from them.

However, myself supporting a club which for decades also had a man who made himself as high profile as the club itself, I can understand why they'd have had enough of Levy.

He and his right hand man are by all accounts highly visible at the training ground, which straight off is a red flag. It seems to be what Conte was referring to, the running-to-the-chairman thing (see that Danny Rose All or Nothing clip for an example).

Anyway, ultimately, it's Spurs. Fuck them.

This is daft. There's no reason Spurs cant do what Arsenal have this season or even Liverpool under Klopp. Obviously thats difficult but its achievable. 4th isnt their ceiling just like the Championship isnt Brentfords, or lower mid table isnt Brightons etc.

The last manager that worked out for them was Pochettino and he left in 2019. Mourinho is a busted flush at the top level, Nuno was out of his depth and now Conte for a variety of reasons. The infrastructure is all there for them to be a genuine contender though.

Spurs were nothing more than a mid table premier league team for the first 13 years of the Premier League , Levy came in and has made them regular top 4 contenders.

Never finished top 6 or bottom 6 for seemingly yonks. Were very 'meh' until mid 00s in the PL era.

Exactly, now they have an owner who has built them the best stadium in the world and has them in the top 4 pretty much every season, yet the fans don't like him and seem to think for some reason that they should be doing better, madness.

Spurs have finished top 4 in 6 of the last 8 season, 4th is their celling really, they will never be as big as the other so called members of the big 6.

Longer term, there's no reason why they can't be as big as Arsenal or Chelsea, particularly now they've sorted out the stadium issue.

The pattern of footballing support in London can be very fluid. A lot of young people in the city when they're deciding on their allegiance will simply opt for the team that's doing the best at that particular time. They won't just go for the nearest club, or the one that their family supports, and even some apparently committed supporters can change their minds.

It's a situation where you shouldn't say 'never'.

Think Kompany would be an inspired choice for Spurs but I’m not sure it would be the best career move for him long-term

Possibly, but Spurs have pretty much moved into "it's not him, it's them" territory now, so maybe it's a free hit for him?

Forest would be mad to get rid of Cooper right now I reckon

The current Forest job seems, in a simplistic comparison, very much like the Watford gig

They supposedly had Rafa lined up last time Cooper was under pressure, wonder if they do again.

Could definitely see their mad owner going for him.

Moyes will be in huge trouble if they fail to beat Southampton today
